Match Thread Birmingham City - Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 13th Apr

Their local businesses were welcoming, but any of our our fans walking back to New Street after the FA Cup ties at their place might have an alternative view on how receptive their fans were.

    Fa cup tickets

Once the 50+ points period has passed perhaps the club should also open up to i follow account holders based abroad, many of whom I should imagine would like to come back for the match, but unlikely to be otherwise able to source tickets directly themselves.

Item Thread for those looking for FA cup tickets

I'm guessing the sarcasm and wariness is based on the new forum members suddenly appearing asking for tickets, which could be a ploy used by Man United supporters who can't get tickets through their own club to try and get some of ours instead. Obviously this shouldn't apply for people who have...

    Season tickets for 2024/2025 season

I think the cheap JSB prices will definitely go. Will still need to cater to our future support base though, so will be interesting to what level increases are made in that area.

    Fa cup tickets

Is General Sale still one ticket per person (with account history)? Not sure if it is the case but I would have thought it logical at that point for season ticket holders and those with tickets purchased through points history to be allowed to buy at least 1 extra ticket each?

Video Coventry City v Cardiff City highlights

Am definitely looking at it differently to you :) If you are judging only by both players feet then for me Wright was definitely onside as Bowlers left foot is playing him on. The questionable part is where Wright's shoulder is in relation to Bowler's left foot, and for me that is marginal and...

Video Coventry City v Cardiff City highlights

Wibble! Not sure how you see it as being so clearly offside! It is a marginal call whether Bowler (player 1) was playing Wright on or not, and I don't think there could have been too many complaints if it was given. However, with the manner of the 2 goals we conceded it is probably just best...

    Lineker was gutted

People see what they want to see. If he has convinced himself of the Lineker smirk, nothing will change his view on that! Personally I thought MOTD were very respectful of us on the day we were relegated, and made a lot more of us going down and our history in the top league than many other...

    Leicester points deduction

I thought the same. Taking legal action into the Courts and outside football's own jurisdiction would seem to set a dangerous precedent, and doing so would surely be frowned upon by the football authorities. I would have thought that any adverse outcome would then likely be higher as a result...

https://www.thefa.com/about-football-association/our-partners If you know anyone that works for or is a business partner of any of the companies in the attached link, then that is probably the best avenue to try and secure neutral tickets.

    Never again

Well said Evo. I know you were iffy about bothering with the Oxford game earlier in the season, and I was quite exasperated with people continually calling every draw a crap one, when to me winning each round was more important than drawing one of the big fish in the early rounds. Unless...

    Next supporters forum 18 April

While we may well lose some of the old regulars it's hard not to envisage the club's upwards trajectory not attracting other supporters into becoming season ticket holders. At the moment it is feasible that without a season ticket, it might be difficult securing an individual match ticket with...

Can't agree with the sentiments for season ticket holders getting refunds for non attendance. They already get tickets at a generously discounted rate compared to buying on a match by match basis, and have the luxury of knowing they are always guaranteed a ticket for any big cup or play off games.

    Leicester points deduction

I grew up in Rugby in the 80's and while there were a few Leicester fans about it was definitely a Cov town, with quite a few mainstays of the Legion living there and having a very visible presence about the town. Don't recall seeing any group of Leicester fans about the town at any time during...

    Championship thread 23/24

Agree with this, particularly when considering Doku's 'tackle' against Liverpool last weekend where he similarly went in recklessly, but won the ball first. This time though it was subject to VAR review and not given. A definite lack of consistency!

You do know some games also end up in draws?

What would our survival odds be if we went up?

I imagine Hamer might want to leave at the end of the season, and while I could see a lower PL/ newly promoted PL club being interested, I can't see any of them paying the fee paid to us. Therefore unless Sheffield United are prepared to cut their losses he might be stuck with them.

    Liverpool v Forest Referee

I always thought they were originally only supposed to disallow goals where there was a clear and obvious error. If the VAR operators are still deliberating after 60 seconds a goal should stand as far as I'm concerned, even if it subsequently passes that someone might have had a toe offside.

    Championship thread 23/24

On Leicester it would be hilarious if they blew this. Their owners might not be so keen to bankroll them if they stay in the Championship for a while :)
