I'm unsure what relevance this has to my comment? Was this meant for someone else?
 
For what it’s worth, I think he’ll be prolific in the championship.

He isn’t the major problem with our team, but he massively let himself down today. Very, very silly and came at a time when if we did manage to get 1 back, we could’ve made a game of it.
 
Big T 🤡 Forest have had our pants right down there. Dele Adebola for 20 mill, they got Liam Delap for 40. They must be pissing themselves laughing
 
In the first half he won a long ball in the Brighton half with some great hold up play, passed it off to Van Ewijk and within 3 passes it was back with Rushworth, undoing all his good work.

Simms couldn't have done that.

I think it's a red but he's anticipating the defender barging into him and trying to give him a bit back. The defender wasn't looking at the ball.

Not a malicious elbow but cost us dearly.

Me neither. Apparently Keane said afterwards, “he gave the ref a decision to make” which I suppose is fair. He did…but the softest elbow I’ve seen given!

More of a barge than an elbow.Get hit by a proper elbow you don’t get up,off on a stretcher.

Agree that Awoniyi is better. But we needed better than him.

Yeah, agree with this. Technically far better than Simms. Problem is he’s still not good enough. £9m gets you a decent squad player. An upgrade on Simms but we need the Cherif gamble to come off
 
Watching it back a few times, does look like he’s expecting the defender to barge into him and just trying to stand his ground, the defenders not watching the ball but watching him and plays for it all day long. If the defender was genuinely challenging for the ball he wouldn’t have gone down like that, the ref bought it hook line and sinker

The big issue is what now?

BTA - not as a striker and especially not in this system. Plus FL has never played him a sole striker.

Cherif - very small cameo but looked tired early on, not quite sure what was expected of him and (understandably) off the pace. Clearly he’ll come good, but starting in a struggling, low confidence and desperate for points team isn’t ideal.

Simms - confidence player with even less after today (assuming it wasn’t ann injury).
