Big T let everyone down (2 Viewers)

Awoniyi had quite a few heavy touches today. Let’s not let our problems with Simms blinker our opinions on Awoniyi…

Those who have said Wright should go, might put a bit of respect on him when back from injury. Their keeper made decent stops, but Haji puts at least one of those away.

I don't think wright can play in the role that we have played a striker the last couple of games though.

Shame he will miss villa cup game. Simms or cherif need to step up. A win midweek will help everyone connected with the club

It was more of a push with the elbow than a swing but deliberate and that Ref wasn’t going to give anything else.

Awonyi cannot play upfront on his own. He has no pace (then again most of our players don't, a massive failing of our recruitment) to get away from players. Also the long ball tactic to him is pointless, he is very poor in the air (the miss at Plymouth), so not really seeing what £9 million has got us.

Best thing that could happen to us is a 3-match ban for him. He is an absolute carthorse with a first touch like a pass. Simms didn’t deserve to be binned after Arsenal, certainly not for the man who failed to put the ball in an empty net at the Etihad.

Not having that at all

His hold up play is a million miles better than anything Simms has ever fucking shown

It’s got you what you get for £9m. A prem league squad player..I’m convinced we only signed him due to Wrights injury. The real investment has been in Cherif - we need to see more there.

The issue is that he can get it out of the air, hold it up but then has fuck all options.

Saw it against Man City when he went on that mad run, EMC literally ran away and hid so he had to try and do it all himself.

Half the match, Grimes was pressing while EMC and Rudoni were miles back.

Big T has to take huge responsibility for what he did and let his team mates down and the fans. It’s difficult as it is with our quality but that was the nail in the coffin.

He doesn’t come back into the team after his ban and has to prove he should.
Hes a liability

Genuinely think he intended to shoulder barge him hard but got it all wrong and got the elbow too high

it was right in front of me - it’s a red card all day long in this league

Twice in as many games he has latched onto a poor defensive pass by anticipating and reaching it. Today he was I think unfairly penalised, but nobody else in the side has done something comparable i.e. showing a bit of initiative and aggression to beat an opponent to a dangerous ball.

However he has let his teammates down today with that moment of indiscipline, he should know far better.

Imagine thinking the answer is to bring even more Championship as fuck players into the team 😂
We are not going to attract better players than we already have unless we are an established PL team. That's the reality. Do you think Leeds sign Trafford if they had been relegated?
