Yearly Bedwetting thread (2 Viewers)

It was never going to be easy, no. But are we seriously calling people that are calling yesterday for waht it was (shite, one dimensional, half arsed crap) bedwetters?

The bedwetters have history, same shit every time we hit a bump in the road, theyve consistently been proven wrong.
That doesnt mean people think everythings rosey, but maybe people should be a bit more comsidered in their opinions.

Get rid of the manager, we're definitely down after 8 games, same shit for years.

Maybe theyll be right this year, but to give up after 8 games, bit strange in my opinion.

Well overdue a bump this thread. A place for those who still feel the need to doom monger after every loss. Current issues for them include 1) Why don’t we just dominate? 2) Why are we not trying to win 3) Why didn’t we just sign 14-15 established prem players 4) Lampard out? 5) Why are Hull and Ipswich not below us ? 6) Wasn’t life better in the championship 7) Whatcare the relevant closing verses in some of our songs. 8) Who do we think will leave next year? Why can’t we just win all the time. Whine, Whine Whine
So I’m concerned because I don’t see where our goals are coming from. Because we are playing 8 championship players from last season (and I’m pleased they’ve been given a chance, but) and we have expensive players on the bench or not in the matchday squad. I’m concerned because I’m not sure that Frank knows his best team, and continues to play players who seem to be struggling at this level, and avoiding playing players like Torp and Mfuni, and perhaps even Simms, who have looked good when they have had some game time. And were second from bottom as I post this.

Does that make me a bedwetter or a supporter of 60 years who desperately wants us to give a decent account of ourselves in this league. A forum is about opinions and as long as posters are respectful and not abusive about our players, I don’t see harm in suggesting ways we could improve….

It's exhausting. Yesterday was awful, but calls for Lampard out and season over after 8 games is ridiculous.

We all want us to give a good account of ourselves. We all want to stay up. But some (not yourself) have a weird misconception of what is happening. The fact is a lot of our players arent PL standard. We’ll lose at lot of games. It’s pointless trying to get away from that. We may well stop up and we should certainly be here giving it a try. But the complete meltdown every time we lose is just strange.

It is.

And so is saying, 'ah well, it's the Premier League, we can't expect more' after extremely poor performances.

Neither you or the drama queens are showing any understanding of nuance.
I’m not sure what you expect though.

1 ppg across the season probably keeps you up. I’d have taken 38 points at the start of the season. And the reality is that watching a side that only averages 1ppg generally isn’t that exciting, you lose a lot, don’t score many but scrape results here and there.

People having a meltdown because we lost a tight game 1-0 are ridiculous.

Why don't you set up a separate forum, where only positive things are allowed? At least that way, you can avoid genuine concerns about the team! Just a thought.

I totally agree the same can be said for players - BTA has shut me up as well as a couple of others based on their performances- it’s too early to write people off

Crikey. Tough crowd. Not one person is actually saying that.

It was a weak performance against a poor team who didn't play particularly well themselves.

I agree meltdowns are embarrassing, but it's ok to bemoan a pretty feeble performance too. Doing so doesn't mean people aren't aware of the size of the task.
