If the club signs a left back this summer, who would be your preferred choice?

My shortlist would be:

1. Ben Chilwell – Strasbourg
29 years old, 170 Premier League appearances and 21 England caps. Previously signed by Lampard when he was Chelsea manager.
He would bring some much needed Premier League experience to the squad.

2. Hugo Bueno – Wolves
23 years old, with 78 Premier League appearances and 8 caps for Spain U21s.
Still young, but already has a decent amount of Premier League experience and should have plenty of development and resale value.

3. Francisco Moura – Porto
26 years old and represented Portugal at youth level from U18 to U20. He also has experience in both the Champions League and Europa League.
His data looks impressive, and he appears to have some very good attributes.

Who would everyone else like us to go for?

Fucking anyone now tbh. Dasilva was vastly improved last season and a good part of the side that achieved so much

But do I want him up against Saka and Semenyo in the first few games?? Do I bollocks

Buenos for me or if not then Chilwell if he is fit. Failing that the Belgian, Seys(?), who came on for them in the WC

That's a good list. Any of those 3 - if Chilwell is fit

Malacia on a free wouldnt be a bad shout if he can stay fit

I liked the look of Mbokazi who played for South Africa in the WC who was a real unit and looked good coming forward. I know he played on the left of a back 3 but the way he plays I think he could easily adapt to LB, particularly given we are likely to need to defend more than we did last season.

Moura would be absolute quality

I would prefet Bidwell over Da Silva against those two. Da Silva obviously the better player with the ball and going forward but defensively he is very vulnerable whereas Bidwell is old skool and more likely in the 1st minute to do a tribute act to stuart pearce introducing himself to kevin gallacher on Saka.
Im not panicking as no way Lampard thinks we can get by with LB as it stands now.

We need a LCB as well..is Tomori left or right footed?

Right i think. I don't think it matters as much as people think though, I don't overly care what footed my 2 CBs are if they are good.

Tomori is right footed and plays as a right sided centre back.

Is Amenda likely to be Kitchings competiton for LCB then? Im assuning Woolfeden will be sold sonwe need one more CB surely

Good list. Ignore those slating it.

Id like Moura out of those. Estupinan if we are being exciting

Bueno would be a brilliant signing. Every time I watched wolves was impressive going forward, aggressive, and similar to Milan on the other side, was quick retreating the other way too. He’d be my pick all day long.

There was a whisper a few weeks back that Harry Amass was a possibility. For me he's not got the experience at PL level, but would be an investment opportunity

If we're getting 2 I'd take him. Otherwise, Moura or Bueno will do.

Forest away League Cup Semi final - thought Gallagher was going to end up in row Z with the ball!

Been arguing for Bueno for most of the summer now, but that’s one I’d expect to have done early if we were really interested.

These don’t read AI at all?
Two identically formatted lists with the same worded question to start it. You sure?

2x AI slop lists 😭
does a tiny bit

I'm sure this user had posted ai generated thread starters that were taken down, though I could be mistaken
You can't click on the user either to get their info (at least I can't), where as you can you and me. So chance it's a bot designed to drive conversion. They're fairly common for unsavoury purposes on forums, though I'm not saying that's the case here (if it is one).

With us having quite a young backline with no prem experience as it stands I’d personally opt for Chilwell.

I wouldn't touch Chilwell with a barge pole. He's made of glass and Far too many injury concerns.

Bueno is probably the best of the pick, played PL and stil plenty of room for development.

Bidwell was very quick to come and acknowledge the fans on his own after the final whistle - maybe 👋

Maybe 2. Depends which Bueno he was tho, didn't Wolves have like 3 players with that surname last season.

I think one was really good but who knows.

Santi Bueno is a CB and Hugo Bueno a full back.

No relation to each other.
