Transfer Rumour Summer Transfer Window 2026 (30 Viewers)

[BerksSB]

Transfermakt has Tymon valued at €10m. Couldn’t we have got Moura for that? No links to anyone chasing him but Hull sniffed around in June. He was born in Hull and started his career there. Swansea have just signed Tiago Parente, a LB, on loan from Benfica B but he was supposed to be cover for Tymon.

[SBAndy]

It doesnt need to be expensive. Its the fact hes only ever played 5 prem or top division games.

I do not want me a left back with stats like this in a Championship season:

Yes but
Not every signing can be expensive and exciting.

I’d sooner invest the big money in the spine of the team as we have not in LB.

[SBAndy]

I’m also fairly sure it was Tymon that looked like an extra out of trainspotting when we played them at their place.

[skybluecam]

@skybluecam George Hirst going to stoke for £10m. still think simms and bta are worth 5?

Now do the ‘per 90’.

Now do the ‘per 90’.

I mean, he got in TOTS mate so he didn't do bad did he however you spin it. Am i thrilled if its true? Not really, but if the pot is running dry i think we need a serious CB or we're finished. Thomas might do ok, i'm slightly on the fence although i do like him a lot. If him or especially Amenda gets injured we might as well start packing for Preston away again now.

[TomRad85]

FWIW i'd much rather the Moura rumour was true.

[oscillatewildly]

I’ve heard Eccles and cash for Bueno too…

wouldn’t be disappointed with that to be honest

JE did seem a bit subdued when he posed for a pic with my lad when we bumped into him near the end of the stadium tour on Monday.
Mind you I normally look a bit down whenever I'm in a pic with my boy.

Lets be honest, he got in TOTS for his attacking output. A part of that will have been that he was set piece taker for Swansea which inflated his assists whereas he’s unlikely to get those honours here.

For what it’s worth, I don’t think he’s a bad player but think he’d be a horrible signing for us. Can’t think that having 2 attack-minded full backs in a team where we’re likely to be the side under pressure is sensible. But whatever.

I think he'd be an upgrade on Dasilva but not as much of one as i'd have hoped. However if the plan is to push him forward getting balls in I'll accept it if it means King is bringing me a top CB. It could be more bollocks anyway and we get blindsided with another rising superstar.

[Rodders1]

"Yes, yes.... But has he played for Swansea?"

I’m starting to think that Swansea have great scouts - and we trust them too!

Gyokeres
Grimes
Bidwell
Rushworth

Tymon will surely be an astute purchase

Tbh I do think it’s nonsense. It really doesn’t seem to fit with the profile of player we’re looking at, and I can’t imagine he’d be amazingly cheap where it makes more sense to do it than not (if you get what I mean).

its a seriously "hull-coded" signing

Yeh i do agree. Let's see.

Stats wise I think Tymon is a downgrade on Jay, because Jay’s possession numbers are top and he has better dueling numbers. Meaning he performs better in possession and out of possession.

The other important factor is Tymon takes set pieces for Swansea so will 100% have higher numbers than Jay in Crossing and long passing but if you remove that they are on a similar playing field.

To me we should be looking abroad I believe we had the best LB in the division FOR OUR SYSTEM so we shouldnt return to it to find another one, there is better value in Europe where there are players who would suit our style of play:

Quentin Merlin (Rennes)
Arsene Kouassi (Lorient)
Maximilian Mittelstadt (Stuttgart)
Juan Miranda (Bologna)
Nuno Tavares (Lazio)
Jaouen Hadjam (Young Boys)

In very funny Hull news, they have now turned their attentions to Che Adams

[Tea & Busquets]

Only way I’d be okay with Tymon as our LB would be if we signed Lloyd Kelly or someone else in that CB/LB role.

They’ll be after Adam Armstrong next!

I can see it if we play a back 5 but I cant see us doing that, Lloyd Kelly would be quality though

Merlin or Kouassi would be nice additions to our French speaking group of Amenda, Tchouna and Cherif

Lati as well

Pretty sure I signed him from Roma on FIFA to solve our perennial LB issue a few years ago...

Would mean Jose managed him at Roma and then brought him to Benfica? Would definitely be worth asking Jose's opinion on him in this case

Right lads I'm doubling down on this:

Samuel Dahl - 23yo Benfica LB
Market value 13m

Played under Mourinho at Benfica all of last season, and Mourinho was evidently a big fan of his

https://tribuna.com/en/news/2026-03-24-mourinho-on-samuel-dahls-sweden-omission-ask-potter/

Also joined Roma a few months after Mourinho had left the previous season, so it's possible Jose was involved in scouting/signing him

I reckon this is the fella Frank called Jose to discuss, and I reckon he is our new LB

You’ve convinced me. Let’s sign him.

[JSL]

It seems we have already signed a LB this window. A free transfer from Brighton by the name of Billy-Ray Cullinane. Only 18 though

Yeah not a first team one

This Samuel Dahl looks a good player. Lets hope theres something in it

[Tea & Busquets]

Would be buzzing with Dahl

[Ccfcisparks]

Have we been linked to Dahl?

Got much chance of Daal

[TomRad85]

Could it be Archie Brown? He wasn't under Mourinho for long at Fener but it looks like Mourinho bought him in. Would match up with the Dawkins Instanbul hint too. Although it would contradict the Championship LB rumour so God knows.

It is entirely possible that Dawkins knows nothing and/or is full of shit.
