Transfer Rumour Summer Transfer Window 2026 (31 Viewers)

It’s a bullshit account run by someone, likely a City fan as he’s always on about us mostly with a few rival clubs thrown in.
I genuinely believe he posts or at least looks on here as his made up nonsense often seems to follow on from random wish lists from posters on here.

Apparently man utd are going to cash in on Harry Amass for £7mill, could thie be us?
This feels like a absolute banker for anyone that gets him at that price. Quite a bit of senior experience given his age, fairly low risk and you could easily see someone doubling their money. Add in the fact that man Utd aren't typically a great selling club. Wouldn't want to have to rely on him as a starter but even get him and farm him out, it's conceivable even on loan his value continues to increase.

We're on the same page. That's why I think we will stay up.

Bournemouth, Brighton, Palace and Sunderland have all the extra games as well as only being able to spend 70% of their revenues on player signings and wages.

Then add to this 11 sides have changed their manager so far this year including Bournemouth, Palace, Ipswich, Fulham and Newcastle.

It's going to be carnage for some.

you keep saying this without really have any understanding

Bournemouth for example converted £156 million debt into equity and also yielded a £91 million transfer surplus in 2025

Amortisation over 4-5 years and it’s a bargain!
Not good for the cash flow tho, and that is usually what sends clubs into a spiral. They have overvalued assets they are unable to liquidate

Yeah Bournemouth will be fine. Their squad to turnover ratio is high - roughly around 87%. The sale of Semenyo plus whatever profit from sales they've yielded this summer will take that down to meet UEFA's cap.

Really not sure what to expect from the rest of our business now

Didn't Luton spend their promotion money on a new stadium? In Hulls case it must be so hard to attract players to the arse end of nowhere, must be close to 2 hours to the nearest airport, London is a 4-5 hour journey on the team bus, with half the teams in the prem this season being based in London or the south coast that must be a good enough reason alone for lots of players to go elsewhere.
I’ll have you know that Humberside International Airport has upwards of three flights a day to Amsterdam. I once flew from there and I swear the same man who screened my bag through security also made me a cup of tea in the cafe.

If the LB is Diouf i'm not sure what to say. Our sending is going through the roof. Need to start funding a King statue.

I really dont think it is, but outside of Bueno what other LB tracks with what weve currently been doing

None of them. I'm coping on most of them, i'd support them of course but its a bit of a crap fest. Doyle is the only one i wouldn't hate, i can see the upside with that.

Been so impressed with how we’ve gone about it. There’s probably one or two that we’ve not considered that they’re actively working on, but have complete faith in the last couple we bring in. We’ve added athleticism, pace and power. Genuinely buzzing now!

Couple of points:

1. Agree priority is LB and confident one will be through the door soon, albeit likely to be someone noone is thinking about on here.

2. We played against Monaco with a midfield pivot in Grimes but without a no. 10 - Onyeka and Yirenkyi played left and right side of Grimes with Simms coming in centrally at the top and BTA and Loum off the sides- it this how he is likely to setup for the PL? Seems more likely so it will be interesting to see how Rudoni and Hamer (if he plays forward) will fit in. But clearly we need a cover for Grimes which I am guessing is Gomes.
I can see us using the Onyeka/Grimes/Yirenkyi midfield quite a lot, especially away from home and against the stronger teams. At home probably Rudoni ahead of Onyeka when he's fit.

Assuming no outgoings, that would likely result in the midfield and their backups being:
Yirenkyi (Onyeka)
Grimes (Hamer)
Rudoni (Torp)

Leaving Eccles as a fill in for injuries and suspension.
