I profoundly disagree so will leave it there, my views on this are well known. It's the same principle.
If King hadn't put money in it would have had to come from the player sales you mentioned.
Gibson ploughed money into boro yet seems to escape criticism.
There is some strange thinking around what is acceptable ownership and what isn't.

Yeah Luke Bell being a part of the celebrations but not Markelo felt really bloody weirdWhy did Markelo not get called out yesterday? And why not been in squad - all very odd. He was celebrating at Blackburn? Pompey can’t remember…….
Aled Williams also been absent? Didn’t see him yesterday either?
Someone has posted a clip of the Ryan Reynolds song (28 sec in)The club is being propped up by King.
As are most clubs being propped up by someone.
King has also spoke about bringing other investors on board, which is what Reynolds and McIleheney have done.

And I don’t think yours make sense, so as you were.Your views don't make sense.
For example, according to planet football, the team with the 2nd largest net spend in the championship is Swasea, but I don't think you've ever mentioned them.
And I don’t think yours make sense, so as you were.
Teams coming in with huge injections of cash to bulldoze the league and blow up transfer fees and wages is bad for football. I’ve been consistent in thinking and saying that since Abramovich was allowed in.
I know some don't like MacAnthony at Posh but I did hear him talking about what Birmingham and Wrexham did to wage expectation at that level. Agree, its not to be celebrated. And I don’t think yours make sense, so as you were.

It’s not scattergun, I focus on those who blow up transfer fees and wages and behave anti competitively. What is unusual about Wrexham is on top of that, they have the most sycophantic coverage by far because Deadpool is the owner. That makes sense, your scattergun approach to who you direct your ire at doesn't.
And as I said, King has said he's looking for investment, so it might soon be us.
He’s a wheeler and dealer, not in a good way. But he does talk sense sometimes.I know some don't like MacAnthony at Posh but I did hear him talking about what Birmingham and Wrexham did to wage expectation at that level. Agree, it’s not to be celebrated.

Hes a bit of an Irish Del Boy and also can be a complete tool when rattled but he talks sense on finances. Also said we got a good deal on EMC.. he wasn't lying on that. He’s a wheeler and dealer, not in a good way. But he does talk sense sometimes.
A better clip.That was funny!
First I’ve even heard of Swansea’s owners doing it.But Swansea have been worse than blues this year, Id imagine on lower turn over as well, and don't get mentioned.
As for the media coverage, some people seem a bit pissed off that it's taken the spotlight off of us a bit, but I'm glad, it's highly embarrassing.
First I’ve even heard of Swansea’s owners doing it.
Are most owners dropping £50 million on newly promoted teams in this division?Well their net spend is higher than blues this season, though miles behind Wrexham.
But this is my point, while most owners are doing it it seems churlish to single out certain clubs.
If we could reset it somehow to stop it happening I'd be all for it, but while that's the world we live in I'm not going to slate others because I'd be happy for it to be us.
I was aware Swansea had spent a lot and for the most part, spent it badly. They have a lot more misses than hits, which means it will catch up to them eventually.Well their net spend is higher than blues this season, though miles behind Wrexham.

It's definitely the profile and OTT coverage within the media that has pee'd many a fan off. It has been embarrassing. The Wrexham owners have done nothing that virtually every premier league club has done. It’s just that they are high profile. It’s not so much owners that have inflated prices. It’s Sky. And it’s a bit ironic to Moab about it as we all celebrate the mountain of income we’re about to get.

Blackburn have a premier league title because Walker threw money at it. If anything he was the original AbramovicIt's the same principle.

There’s a pretty big difference between covering operating losses and bankrolling big transfer spending. The only owners I’ve got an issue with are murderous regimes like the Saudis and Russians sportswashing ill gotten gains. Everything else is a scale. King has put cash in Sisu couldn’t to take us over the line. Plenty of clubs have been bankrolled by their owner to some extent. That’s just the game these days.

Because covering losses is just keeping the club runningWhy? And he’s also bankrolled spending.
Because covering losses is just keeping the club running
I don’t see how he has?
how do you determine what money covers the losses? What if the Gyokeres and Hamer money covers losses - but Doug is covering the transfers?Because covering losses is just keeping the club running

Lovely silky run into the box in the second half. Had a very good header saved too.Can someone buy Haji some new boots. The ones yesterday appeared to be 40 as a hand trampolines on them.

You can see why he’s been playing over Simms. If he was consistent he wouldn’t be playing for us at this point.Lovely silky run into the box in the second half. Had a very good header saved too.
First half he was poor though.
Still can’t work out the words to that oneUnderrated moment of yesterday was when Wrexham scored and the whole stadium just started singing the new EMC song again![]()
