Its easier for clubs. Logistically they can kick off when they want to. Dont have to hire staff for opening the stadium to fans.

Coventry City continued to build up their minutes with a draw against West Bromwich Albion in a behind-closed-doors friendly at The Hawthorns.

Loum Tchaouna’s excellent strike gave City the lead but Jimmy-Jay Morgan replied 15 minutes later in a well contested match.

FIRST HALF

The first chance of the game fell to City when Raphael skipped inside the area and arrowed in a shot but his effort was saved by Max O’Leary.

Albion had a decent opportunity on 13 minutes when Aune Heggebo got on the end of a cross but couldn’t direct his header on target.

Ellis Simms came close when Josh Eccles slid the ball into his path but he fizzed his effort wide of the post.

The Baggies almost opened the scoring after a bit of pinball in the box saw the ball fall to Morgan who lashed it goalwards from close range but Ben Wilson got in the way to make a great save.

The Sky Blues took the lead on 26 minutes when Tchaouna rifled the ball into the far corner with a fierce effort from an angle.

The hosts equalised on 41 minutes when Morgan skipped towards the area and arrowed the ball into the bottom corner.

SECOND HALF

Albion had the first chance of the second half when the ball was cut back across to Isaac Price but he curled his shot just wide of the mark.

They almost turned the game on its head on the hour when Price’s blocked shot fell to Tammer Bany who struck the crossbar.

The Sky Blues came close to scoring the winner in the final ten minutes when Brandon Thomas-Asante's shot cannoned off the post before Miguel Angel Brau’s fierce drive took a deflection and hit the side-netting.

Coventry looked the more likely in the closing stages but couldn’t find a winner.

I think half of it starts a half in a friendly but only half plays two halves in the prem. The other half could play both halves of the friendly but probably only part of the second half in the prem. Anyone left plays the whole game

Drop Rushworth so his confidence isnt damaged before Hull

I assumed he’d start training this week, Switzerland were eliminated on 12th July.
