Bit of an exaggeration. Yes, they had loads of possession but there was next to no threat and I think we believed we could hold out for the win.

Some of it tonight was self enforced with us trying to protect the lead and defend deep.

Thought first half especially we won every 2nd ball something I would rarely say we've 'won' all season!

Thought it was a very decent first 60 mins we should have been 2 up and game over from but you felt 5/10 more mins & we would have conceded.

We looked like the side that played Saturday not them IMO .

Fair result. Walsall have been the best side I've seen this season and even them I didn't think they were outstanding.

Thought Joe Cole was excellent, best game I've seen him in. JOB ran his socks off and thought Stokes did well at the back.

Haynes worries me at LB and thought Walsall were getting a lot of joy down both wings in all fairness but thought Philips did better.

On to the next game which I don't think will be as tough.

Them bringing number 2 on really changed the game as he really dominated Haynes!

Yep stokes my mom thought Haynes and Philips were the weak links in a very good team performance for 70-75 mins. Maddison free kick and arma chance were the defining points. Fabulous finish from Bradshaw

Dominant display from us but never killed the game off and got hit with the sucker punch late on.

Cole was class, JOB was poor.

Wasn't Bradshaw linked with us whilst Pressley was in charge?

Calling it now. We won't go up. Team doesn't have the bottle for it.

Stokes MOM. Excellent performance. We desperately need fullbacks. Especially a RB. Phillips just isn't good enough.

I'm not too down at all. Walsall pressed and pressed but really didn't look like scoring and that goal came a bit out of the blue. They had loads of possession but hardly any chances up to that point in the 2nd half.

The good thing was, they were totally dominating and then we suddenly got a second wind and had chances to put the game to bed (Armstrong's brilliant dribble and again Armstrong hooking the ball hopelessly wide for a throw in, plus Madders free kick). We started to dominate again, but it was only for 10 mins and then we started playing too deep.

The other thing I noticed was that JOB was shot and should have come off 10 mins before he did. Worked his socks off.

Still positives to come from the game and you only have to look at the fact that we played with the most makeshift of back fours. I thought Stokes was excellent.

Still unbeaten and with Burton coming up we have a chance to gain points on them.

Murphy was also fooked with 10 to play.

Don't agree with the Walsall dominated the second half, they pushed us back the last 15 but before that we were the one taking the initiative and had several clear chances to score the second goal.

that happened after Armstrong had that attempt saved.

The crowd went quiet and the team started sitting deep.

Sawyer is the best opposition player I've seen this season. Ran the show.

This is still turning into a great season. Not the worst result in the world.

Just got back. Fair result i think as we sat back too much in the second half.

Talk of it being "all over" is a little premature.

Totally agree. We're still 4th and in with a great chance of at least a play-off chance. I'm still really bouyant.

Surely not. You can fly to Sweden in 2 hours, unless someone is coming over by pedalo.

I actually thought that Philips had a good game and Haynes was pretty good in the first half.

Usually reasoned posters are writing off our chances with 20 games left.

Exactly! Knee jerk reaction and way off the mark. We deserved a point, we are still right in it. Look at our back four tonight! Let's give TM chance to bring players in like he has promised. Could make all the difference.

Murphy is quite possibly the thickest footballer I've ever seen in my life. He chooses the wrong option almost every time he gets the ball.

Win on Sat and we will talk about automatic promotion again.

I think Walsall will take one of the two top places and yet I think they didn't dominate us.

Too early yet anyway. No need to be downbeat, it was always going to be a tough game and we came away with a hard fought point which was a fair result.

Well yep, totally agree. 2 or 3 wins in a row and the whole picture changes. Not going to say we will do that, but that's a possibilty for any of the top teams. We nearly won again tonight. Don't get all the gloom and doom at all.

We were dominant and should have killed the game off. We didn't, but it's not the end of the world!!

To be fair, I was seriously worried about losing 2/3-0 tonight.

A draw is still hard to take after being 1-0 up, but not the end of the world.

I said before tonight, 4 points from these 2 games would be great. A comprehensive win vs Burton would be fantastic.

Sorry, but can't agree with this.

Can be more influential than AA at times.

Yes some of his goals this season have been wrong options and his assists well they have been just terrible.

Not writing is off. Just saying I don't think we have the bottle for a promotion. Been thinking it for a bit and tonight confirms it. New additions may well change that to be fair.

Also Vincelot has had a shave. This can't be good news.

Personally I'm more confident of our automatic chances now than I have been at any point this season.

Points dropped but other teams around will also drop points, not the end of the world. Be interesting to see if they can keep it up without Bradshaw is he goes.

Agree. First half we totally dominated and looked very much an automatic promotion placed side.

We ran out if steam second half (ring rusty?), but even then we came back and had a 10 minute period where we dominated and had 3 good opportunities to kill the game.

I am more confident too. Hunt will prove to be a good acquisiton, Lorentzson too hopefully. Just need that dominant centre back and another goalscorer.
