Villa Tickets (1 Viewer)

With the ticketing update can see a number of Groups of mates making a late decision to get up the CBS for what should be a great occasion and our first home game under the lights this season.

Had the prices been 25% cheaper, this would have sold out already, however I can see 4-5k will be sold tomorrow.

If anyone is reading this and is on the fence, get down there as this could be the game to truly kick start our season and hopefully a nember of the new signings will step up and make themselves un droppable for the weekend.

if you turn the notifications it will even tell you when it updates but alas you just want to have a whinge about nothing

Some are not updating on Google wallets though. It's no drama but that is the case. Mine hasn't been, but I've justed cleared app cache in device settings and it appears.

For others, if you have android and auto update not working, try force stop of the app, or clearing cache (but not data) and it will likely fix the issue (well did for me anyway)

We were given the opportunity to buy ours for £72 each, which we decided not to take up. Looking at the site it is no longer for sale. However, our season ticket has been updated and is showing the Villa game as the next match.
The email said Mill, Balcony Street Bar and Frontman had to buy them.
Enforced purchase?

Liverpools prices for kids tonight v spurs are £5. Doug hates kids

With respect I have read about 3 posts of your posts now talking tomorrow night down. It's the first time we have played Villa in 25 years and there will be thousands who will be buzzing for the game given its only 24 hours away from kick off. I totally respect people not wanting to pay the extra £10 it has been over priced by, but seriously, if your only here to be snide, you might want to consider if there is something more positive you can fill your time with.

Btw I agree with this, but the best time to make these observations was when the prices were announced.

The family stand is often a poor show for night matches. My kids (when they were school age) used to love a night match. It was usually me that was knackered.

I've never been to a game before, I'm from Scotland and thinking of travelling down tomorrow but I see tickets are restricted on the website. Would there be much chance of getting a ticket at the ticket office at the ground if there even is a ticket office?

I'm looking to catch a game somewhere in England, Man U and Everton don't appeal to me at all but this game really does.

If it's not realistic then I'll probably just look at alternatives.

Probably not, they will be selling tickets on the day, but will need your supporter number for previous purchase history. I've maxed out the number of tickets I can buy, otherwise I'd help you out

Previous purchasers only

Think people will be surprised how many tickets shift tomorrow. There are thousands of ST holders who haven't bothered thus far and some will make a call on it tomorrow, plus others now that the process for getting tickets without having to build a network of people with supporter numbers is available. It won't sell out of course, but i think it'll be mainly FZ, north east corner and premium blocks that will have empty seats; rest of ground will be pretty much full. Just a hunch.

Always loved your optimism 👍
Really baffled that this hasn’t ignited a few old passions, especially as the daft Brummies have snapped up all their tickets.
It’s a bit pricey but some of us mere mortals had to pay £51 plus membership costs to watch Brighton spank us for 5 😢

Quite a lot have got this afternoon/evening. It's weird, all of my mates are going and everyone is really buzzing, but we are all in out mid-late 40s. I'm making a long journey for it, but I was never going to miss our first game against Villa. Not after 25 years. The atmosphere will be great, most of block 11-18 is now sold out, that is where the noise comes from anyway..

Well it doesn't, I think people know how to use a toggle switch. Mine still said Hull against Brighton. Still scanned though so I'll just leave it, but auto update not working for some.
Same as. And then as me and boy were walking home after the penalty I noticed my wallet showing BHA.
I’ll just scan whatever shows for the next game.

There won't be 4,5000 sold tomorrow. The pricing was completely wrong

I can't believe how much fuss there has been over this. Ultimately it's the 3rd round of a shit cup which we've barely ever progressed past the 3rd round. The club has no affinity with the competition. Barely any club has come close to selling out. I saw the below image last night (so excludes last nights game). The right column is the average home attendance for each team who have played at home in the competition this season.

I think it is because we have not played Villa for 25 years. If it was priced as many hoped and in line with other comparable clubs, it would have sold out.
Liverpool Tottenham was near enough full, Plymouth in the round before we played them for a comparable local derby (with the teams playing quite frequently in comparison to us and Villa) sold out. They nearly filled the place against us too.
In years gone by I would have agreed focus on the league, however, after the start we have made, the fact we play far less games and have longer breaks, a club like us should be taking the cups seriously this season.

Surely there is a contradiction that it’s such a special occasion but then has to be priced so cheaply to get supporters in

Not really a contradiction "special" and "affordable" answer two different questions. Special explains why people want to be there. Price determines whether they can. With the overall costs increase this season and the start we have had i think a few have decided they can't justify the cost. That said I am hoping as many who realistically can will buy up as many remaining tickets as possible today.

There will be people who genuinely cant afford it but equally theyll be a lot who just can't be arsed .
Thats fine, but to then try and paint it as some huge derby is a bit silly.

Does anyone know if the Villa tickets can be forwarded to a friend in the same way as season tickets? Can't see a 'Forward' button but the ticket isn't showing in my managed tickets list anyway. Many Thanks.

Looks like a thousand or so were sold yesterday.

Would imagine a similar amount might shift today...... a few of the season ticket holders i was with last night, have all got tickets now, after previously saying they weren't going to bother.

So we could be on for 26000 or so, which is a fair effort given the circumstances around it.

Still think we should've given Villa the entire end and assuming they sell 5000, we'd have been looking at a really solid attendance.

Nearly kicked my fucking telly in, outrageous decision

I have this exact issue, I can't go to it but bought a ticket knowing my daughter coud go (She is a nominated friend) No option to forward it to her. Rang Ticket Office, they said you can only forward league game tickets. Ridiculous. No refunds offered, no ability to make an exception. Basically I bought a ticket I can't use and can't get refunded.

Added a reply from earlier in the thread.
Looks like you're fucked.

Not at all, ,a league game on considerably more desirably than the league cup. Why do you think Liverpool made kids tickets £5 v Spurs last night.

Long gone are the days of people buying up cup tickets with no intention of going just to get the points.

There will 100% be people who can’t afford it and couldn’t have even if it was £20-25. Also late kick off mid week makes it tricky for those with kids or those that have to travel. There’s also some pretending it’s too much cos they can’t be arsed because we’ve lost some games though
