Otis, I didn't question her right or otherwise to be considered British. What about the rest of my comment?

I was agreeing with you. My comment was in response to those who believe she isn't British.

Well, yes you would if you wanted to be. Scratch that, just read number 3.

1.Continued residence in Japan
The applicant must have lived in Japan for more than 5 years.

2.Must be over 20 years old

3.Be of good moral character

4.Financial stability
You or your spouse must be financially independent.

5.Agree to hold only Japanese citizenship
You would lose your own nationality once you gain Japanese citizenship.

6.Respect the Japanese Constitution
Not involved in political violence against Japanese government.

So I lose my nationality, I cease being English and become Japanese because a passport says so?

Why are you removing the choice from this scenario?

Well that's my point you don't choose your nationality do you. You are what you are. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Brilliant tennis - but really stressful watching it (both girls are equally matched)

Why isn't Erling Haaland playing for England then?

Born in England, lived here for 3 years.

Your point doesn't change fact. There is choice involved. Haaland could have played for England if he chose to. Radacanu is well within her rights to represent Britain. End of story.

Can't believe the quality of this.

These two are a different level. So much higher quality than the Wimbledon final and most I have seen.

I thought women’s tennis was boring…but this is something special. If this the future of the women’s game then it is in safe hands with this pair.

It's a sweeping generalisation but I'll go with it. No point arguing about two different things. Peace .

I've deleted my last post because there's no point arguing, it's silly. She is indeed well within her rights to represent Britain though and good on her.
Peace to you too.

I swear I keep hearing a let on serve but not the beep.
Doing my head in.
Must be their shoes I guess.

Serve went up a notch there.
I thought the pundits were saying she shouldn't serve out there but it worked.

This may just be a grumpy old man moment but is there really any need to blast out music between games?

Could you imagine them banging out some Queen while a footballer gets treated for a leg snap?

I went to a live NFL game once, don't knock it before you try it kinda deal, it was the most obnoxious thing I've ever witnessed. An assault on all the senses.
