They make small short term loans very occasionally just to aid cash flow problems, and as you said charge high interest rates.
They will never invest in players.

Yeah I said on the Vik thread that I'd heard a whisper that Fulham had put a significant bid in for COH
Knocked back so far I understand

Assume with Scott Twine going for around £4m from league one to Championship that we'd be talking well in excess of that.

If thats accepted then I will be genuinely pissed off, we should accept no lower than £8,000,000. He is essential to the way we play and if we lost him then we lose our game a bit

We need to sell someone - clearly the hamer interest hasn’t materialised to a fee that is meaningful either so the values will decrease

I'd say that's our feeling
The problem is the personal terms which no Championship team could compete with
Still we hold the aces in any negotiations

Reckon ideally we need to sell the two, both at their peak value.

Maybe, but only if we achieve that peak value. And we'd have to heavily reinvest else we'll be back in league one pretty quickly.

Well if what SBB says is true that’s another reason both need to go. One for the debts one for reinvestment.

Nah, he’s got loads of improvement in him. I’m a big Vik believer. Plus he’s still on his OG contract which will hamper value a bit. Hamer and O’Hare just signed big money extensions.

His spotty finishing is my worry. If he starts the season with another bad run like the one in the middle of last year then I wouldn't expect us to get an eight-figure sum for him.

If O'Hare can do a Sterling and learn how to be in the right place at the right time for tap-ins he'll be worth £20 million

No mention of any of ours by Fulham’s reporter for The Athletic…Juventus, AC Milan and Man United players though!

Silva unhappy with Fulham’s progress in transfer market so far

The manager has told the club's hierarchy of his frustrations given Fulham have not yet signed a player this summer

Unless he gets injured, Vik will improve and go up in price. He is a beast and that is a rare quality in football now. Defenders hate to play against players who can bully them like Vik can.

It is understood that he is unhappy at how the transfer window is unfolding so far, with only one deal all-but over the line, and he has conveyed those frustrations to the club hierarchy.

Silva is said to be upset that he returned to pre-season on June 29 to work with 10 outfield players, having given the board targets to pursue at the end of last season. He is thought to be expecting as many as 10 new faces this summer.

Think they’re throwing loads of offers out there to clubs…

His bad run coincided with the injury he sustained at Blackburn with that dreadful tackle that was a penalty. He was playing through it when really he should have been rested.

Thing with a headline bid of £5m is, what does it entail? Is it upfront or installments? If so, over how long? What kind of add-ons are involved?

I'd want more than £5m, even if it were up front.

As for add-ons, I'd have a standard set even for players that are let go on free transfers. Not just linked to stuff like International caps, but payments for every first team game they play for that club (say £100k per PL/Europe, £20k FLC, £5k L1, £1k L2) and a min. 20% add-on of all subsequent transfer fees the buyer received.
