Did hear that happened to be fair, although there are other things to point out that maybe the stewards could have moved them away.

only reading on here, but there does appear to be a slightly different aspect to his points about for sale or not. Does it sound that way?

I think the interesting point was mid L1, possibly slightly lower L1 budget.

So not top 6 and not bottom 6.

It does need a no nonsense approach, Talksport dont have the worry of losing access to the club either.

what is soul destroying is that Fisher admits the owners have no interest in CCFC as a football club - don't go to games, doesn't even know whether they bother to watch the game on TV or even realize he is giving the radio interview to explain the situation.

He seems to think he's doing a good job, were losing £15M, now making a profit of £1M

Well done TF. Have you looked at the league table?

I do see his point re SISU though. If we are sold, then we'll have lost/gained them money. As it stands, we aren't losing them money.
So to get at them, does that mean boycotting?
People say SISU and CCFC aren't related, but you can't hurt SISU without hurting CCFC.
Viscious circle.

Just confirmed they are happy to let it tickover on break even, what he needs to be asked tonight is surely its his job to fix communication / pr to make the money coming in higher to give a better break even.

Not really, boycott will just mean money out goes down. They are happy for it to tickover out the way

Brief Summary:

TF: Look after own business, looking at hiring new manager, additions to squad in Jan. There is a budget. Some players may be leaving.

Mid-league 1, slightly lower than mid-league 1 budget. Above 2 mil, less than 3 mill

JW: Why don’t fans like SISU?

Chairman has to balance interests of football club, fans, owners. There is a break between owners and fans wants. Owners want success for club. Tried throwing money at club. Lousy business model. No access to revenue etc. TF's mandate is to run football club to breakeven.

Club will try to improve comms with fans. Owners not minded to come to the games. SISU have invested £70mill+ without any success. Gone from losing £15 million a year to making £1 million this year.

JW: Why are they still involved?

TF: Hedgefunds don’t want to lose money, running on breakeven basis. Sitting on club until right bid comes along.

Club isn’t bad investment proposition, breakeven football club. Hard work been done. Sat in stands last night, a potential investor would put a red line through Coventry, not worth the heartache, other football league clubs for sale.

My job is balancing interests of supporters with owners.

Who would want to be manager after last night?

No financial uncertainty.

Nobody’s been selling assets. Looking to relocate academy, short term home, plan to co-locate 1st team training facility with academy.

Protest affected psychology of the footballers.

Ballboys and ballgirls frightened and crying at protests and pitch invasion.

Going to bring in a manager, make changes to squad, get behind the team.

Key points for anyone who didn't catch it;

Blamed fans for the loss last night.
Says sisu are just shareholders and didn't know if they watched the game last night.
Said ballkids were crying over the protest.
Said every club in the land is for sale.
Said whilst it is breaking even which it currently is there is no need to go.
Once sold they have to realize the losses hence why they haven't sold yet especially as breaking even.
Said he needs fans behind the team to rise the rise.
We have a really young squad.
Budget is over 2m but not 3m. About mid table budget.
New manager is incoming and players will be coming in and out in January.

What's really alarming is just how little involvement SISU have with us, TF not even knowing if they'd have been watching last night. I know Fisher has many a flaw but he really has seemingly been employed to just be a human shield.

This is why a hedge fund shouldn't own a football club. It's not a business, a football club is an emotive part of the community for generations of families to share a common interest.

SISU now see that we are no longer hemorrhaging £15m a year and running at £1m a year. As far as they are concerned, they have an asset which is making them £1m a year. Makes sense from a business sense why they haven't just washed their hands off us now. Makes zero sense if you remember a football club is not and shouldn't be treated like a business.

Nothing I didn't expect. He actually made a decent point about the young ball boys/girls.

Sounds like sisu are here for the long haul. Wankers

Has anyone with wisdom, such as OSB58 ever worked out the 'true net' investment by SISU over term?

I'm tired of hearing this £70m sum; and think it's disingenuous at best. Some of it is old-debt and not their cash; and what about the transfer fees received for Dann, Fox, Wilson, Maddison, etc.

If this could be with whoever is interviewing him tonight, to lance this boil of a lie once and for all, that's be wonderful

ddint they say it was top 12 last year?

fair play from taking us from 15m losses to 1m profit, i have always commended sisu for getting out of council rent deal.

but there is no way forward now. TF and sisu clearly happy to tread water until chance of staidum arises be it ricoh or BPA.

but 1 thing that wasnt put to him(but was mentioned) if fans are leaving. how is he gonna break even on 5k audienes? and then 4,then 3? he will slash budget. then we are league 2. and attendences 2k,1k over years.

its a slow decline, not sustainable unless somehow some success on pitch

good luck to the new manager. i doubt they have a clue who it is gonna be and unless its rowett i cant see it lifting the fans

I would say from all that Sisu are waiting for an offer to exit the club.

First time Fisher hasn't said the club isn't for sale.

It's all cloak and daggers from Fisher. There are talks behind the scenes.

You can't come out with anything new if there''s nothing new to come out with.
Actually that's the first time I've heard the club officially say that they are going to appoint a new manager in january and there will be player business done

For such an emotive subject, it's definitely worth people listening to it themselves and making their own mind up. Was a genuinely interesting piece. Hope he goes on CWR later, he'll be quizzed a bit more by people with more knowledge than the presenters about the history and ins and outs of it.
