There's nothing wrong with that completion rate for a CM, could just mean he tries riskier passes. Would you take Adam Wharton? He's only at 79%...And then giving the ball away!
I really can’t be getting on board with someone that has such a low pass completion rate. The counter-balance to that is always chance creation. This guy strikes me as a destroyer type but doesn’t then play a simple ball.
FFS. They’re calling out each other’s bullshit now!

Fair enough but i feel like you are honing in on the negatives. The possession and defensive stats are far more important for his position, the defensive stats are incredibly good! I get the feeling this forum would have hated someone like John Obi Mikel if his stats were available on Fotmob at the time. When I’m looking at stats (and @TomRad85 has already pointed out the folly of this) I tend to look at pass completion vs chances created to get an idea of their on-ball capability. Someone like Wharton does have a low completion rate but ranks as one of the best in the league for chance creation. If they are like this Dennis chap and a really low completion rate and also don’t create chances, it suggests that it’s not so much riskier passes that are being attempted (or if they are he’s phenomenally shit at them).
In fairness he is young and could improve with time, but personally I’d want a better starting point than what seems to be one of the worst on-ball centre mids in Turkey.
Wharton's chance creation will obviously be higher when he's a set piece taker. You're making out like 78% is giving the ball away at every opportunity, it's standard for most top players to be around 80-85%. We're not going to have much of the ball so having a Kante type player with those defensive stats will only be a benefit. On the ball he clearly can improve but he won't be anywhere near as bad as you're suggestingWhen I’m looking at stats (and @TomRad85 has already pointed out the folly of this) I tend to look at pass completion vs chances created to get an idea of their on-ball capability. Ask your mate for more info thenStill fucking boring
Is it just me or are we getting linked with progressively worse players as time goes on? Not that there's any truth in most of the rumours but we've gone from Openda, Harvey Elliot, etc
Now we're getting linked with the likes of Jay Stansfield and Pelle Mattsson from Norwich
Not really, only if you pick and choose which nonsense links to pay attention to. We were linked with Balogun earlier. I don't think its believable but its probably more believable than Stansfield. Is it just me or are we getting linked with progressively worse players as time goes on?
