Video One step at a time. 🏃Haji is back on the grass. 🌱

Great, how long from this point?
A month or sooner,or six weeks?

The man who is a liability when he comes back to defend corners. Still hasn't figured out the offside rule. Runs in every third game for a bit.
I'm happier with him being injured tbh

fuck off

Wow

Are you Forgetting about the 40 odd goals over the past couple of seasons, and a hat trick in arguably our most important game last season.

You clearly don’t recall the likes of Andre Wright, Stuart Beavan etc if you think Wright is so poor.

I think there's a competition of trolling going on particularly in the last hour, competing for the most outlandish!

We're in the Premier league. I'm not comparing Hadji to any of those. He isn't good enough. He doesn't get stuck in and he isn't at the right level

Neither is simms, cherif, assante or awoniyi….so what do you suggest…I’d go with our top scorer for the last few seasons

Hes good and nice to have another option up top

But please ffs dont think he'll solve our problems and win us game after game

Hes not our savior

The only thing I would say is that if prople are hanging their hats on Wright scoring the goals to save us, the evidence of last season doesn’t support that. I’ll be really happy to be proved wrong, but although the OP’s post is too harsh, I have my doubts that he will have major impact in the Premier League.

That evidence of the top scorer in a championship winning season in a team of many goals otherwise doesn't prove that 😂

If hes fit enough to put 1 foot in front of the other he should play, because lets be honest, our other options are dog shit.

I know, but I think he goes missing when the going gets tough, and it’s going to be tough in every game this season. As I’ve said, hope he proves me wrong, and as other posters have pointed out, our options are slim. So here’s hoping!🤞

I’d argue 80% of our squad are not up to the Premier League but he has scored 40/50 goals in 3 seasons.

To write him off before he has kicked a ball is typical behaviour from some of our fans.

Christ, some people have forgotten that 8 years ago we were in league 2. Or simply were not bothered because we were in league 2.

Same observation

People haven't forgotten, they are possibly realists who saw that despite being promoted weeks before other teams last season, we had no one lined up as transfers in the areas we all knew we needed support. Now we are sadly waiting excitedly for Hadji Wright.

Haji seems to be written off every season, but he's been our top goal scorer in the last three. He's probably still the best striker at the club.

It's not just on here either and CWR seems to get quite a few callers about not rating him, including that guy who goes on about him constantly. Really strange.

We watch him play. Liability when he defends, struggles getting his head around the offside rule. Frustratingly shows great promise every 3 to 4 games, then goes missing again.

I am a realist, but give the guy a chance.

He scores goals and is an international striker.

I’m not saying he will come back and fire us to safety, but it’s an option far better than the current strikers we have.

If the guy cannot defend but has scored 45 league goals in 83 league starts then I’d take that.

Yet these callers want Bassett to stay / play because he runs around and kisses the badge

Madness

But id argue that he's better than what we've got. And the best option until January.

It'll be interesting to see where he fits in given we only play one striker and we've spent big money on two.

It'll be nice to have some more competition, and he's a very different option to Cherif and Awoniyi.

Will that push Simms even further down the order. Presume will be off in January if a good offer comes in.

I really like Simms, but you would think the return of Wright would put him down to fourth choice in that position.

Jogging with extreme caution. 🤔

Early days innit.

Anyone notice in that video what looks to be quite a large scar on his right thigh? It was a quad injury so I wonder if he’s had an op. Hence the long recovery….

i think he’ll do well when he’s back.
