Seems to have gone a little quiet on transfer activity....im fairly content with the start to the season but last week showed we don't have strength in depth to dig out results at tricky away games (these are the wins that make the difference between promotion or 10th place).

We seemed to have got rid of the likes of Baker (possibly a big earner) and few others but look at the list of free transfers who may consider a pay-cut, chance to play at best stadium in the league and a push for promotion :

> Ebanks Blake
> Zat Knight
> Mikele Leightwood
> El-Hadj Diouf
> Sean St Leger
> Thomas Kuscazk
> David Ngog
> Tyrone Myers
< Chris Eagles
> Peter Lovenkrands
> Darren Ambrose
> Craig Fagan
> Sebastian Carole

Surely Pressley / Waggot / Fisher need to be looking at these players, their motivation to be playing football and earning a wage is high!

Get on the phone to them ASAP, they might not have thought to look into these players availability...

Pretty much all of them are too expensive.

I think we could make a good starting 11 adding that lot, what are we waiting for ?

Cukoo land...im sure Simeon Jackson is on similar coin to what these guys were / are on....if his name was mentioned a while back everyone would be experts on what he earns etc. These guys currently earn £0 per hour, £0 per week so a reasonable offer after a successful trial should surely be an option..... pointless post really as everyone has a negative slant on anything to do with CCFC at the moment.

Ah Sylvain Ebanks Blake again.....hmm!!

All on this list are 95 would probably command a lot higher wages than our top earner
and also would question motivation for them playing league one football.

I am happy with how we are signing players who are youngish and hungry, yep will drop odd clanger
but philosophy is the right one with FFP Kicking in. Would like another centre mid though if I could get anyone in.

Tbh I'm gobsmacked that we can afford to sign Jackson, so maybe we could snare one or two of those names if they were really desperate, like he was? As they're still unattached and it's approaching October, you have to imagine that some of them are?

If any of these players were interested in playing football their agents would be hounding every manager in the football league to try and get them football. I imagine a lot of them on the list (e.g Zat Knight, Ambrose, St Ledger, etc) will have earned a fair whack in their career and probably have a lot of investments and other business interests as well as a few million in the bank, so aren't that interested in getting back into the game.
