Did Wakefield and Sterling form a partnership down the right for Chelsea youth/U23? Would be useful if they already know each others games.

We can’t score goals, but we let a striker go without a replacement? Very strange.

We signed a striker from Wolves who we played out of position.

I'm not convinced he's an out and put striker in the JCH mould

He’s certainly better playing a central position than out wide, his best position is probably as a number 10

Imagine how Ponticelli must feel! Everyone saying he's too young, not ready, one for the future.
Meanwhile we are bringing in players who are younger than him who are supposed to be our saviours.

You do realise ponticelli isn't a winger or full back?

Your banging of the Ponticelli drum is really very weird. Are you a relative of his?

Looks good.

Can beat the last defender.
Knows where to put the ball in for a chance.
Can get goals himself through driving runs or following up on loose ball.
Tricky feet.
Looks like a middle weight boxer, ain't no pushover.

I'm sensing this lad could be very very good for the team.

Fingers are crossed.

Can’t wait for him to get out on that pitch, scuff a cross straight out for a goal kick and forever more be branded ‘Charlie Wankfield’.

we have naive fans. we didnt need to sign a strker and losing one is not end of world. our new midfield options can help us continue to make chances, now it is on existing strikers to score them, we cant just keep discarding strikers and buying new ones,we aint that rich!

hiwulla, chaplin, bakayoko for 2 spots if 442 and 1 spot if 451 it would appear now if wakefield is out and out winger. i hope hiwulla gets first crack to make the position his own

It is hardly naive is it, we clearly have no finishers in the team at present. We have created dozens of chances and not one of the "strikers" have taken them. So yes it is good we potentially have a stronger midfield but still lacking an out and out goal scorer. time will tell if Chaplin, jordy or Baka can get a little more prolific, but to say its naive to not wish for a goalscorer right now is off.

hiwulla and chaplin have goals to their names. one of them could yet achieve a 20 goal season!

robins has said its a young team,we need to give them game time and hope they figure out whats holding them back currently.

I bet Chaplin ends up on 15 goals plus in all competitions. He already has 7 so it is not a big stretch.

But since he's been here what has he really done in terms of goals threat, he got the odd one or 2 a bit like a scoring midfielder but never really looked dangerous

We should probably review the rule of "No more than 2 players in the opposition box at any time"

Chaplin is now starting to score goals regularly.

I think the goals will come with more quality there to create the goals.

We need a target man, we did last season and we do this. All our hopes are pinned on turning Baka into one.

It’s a gamble.

I know, we're creating lots of chances without a target man. When we have played with JCH we have created less as we end up one dimensional.

Robins is trying to get away with the hoof it long. If anything it made us worse when we aimlessly hammered it forward.

JCH didn't get a single assist for us, so it's not like he was doing that much in that aspect.

The only thing JCH was really good at was slowing the game down if we were winning. Hopefully Meyler can start bringing some of that in.
