The hate for him and hamer is crazy. They both respectful to us since left

If they were shit and the club sold them or didn't renew contract the same fans wouldn't care that they hard done by after all
I understand you saying about the hate for O'Hare, it has been done to death, the boy left us in not the best of circumstances, but that is football and he still played a massive part in us being where we are today.
However, I do not know if I have missed something, but Hamer is not hated by city fans from what I know. He rightfully gets the adulation he deserves for his part in our recent history. I am not one to clap him during games, but both deserved a clap after the home game

You are right but on this forum hamer gets more hate I would say.

The anti clappers are worse than the clappers in terms of cringe.

Either way both helped us alot and we shouldn't hate them. Unless the score in playoff final Vs us...

Giving Hamer a standing ovation when taking a corner is the most cringe thing ive ever seen at the CBS

Hamer strang the club and fans along

All that nonsense about being near his son. Does he live near Doncaster airport?

Robins confirmed he told him he was leaving after rplayoff loss on coach home

And o hare clearly strung us along saying he was considering our contract

Both had their reasons. They have one career and are allowed to leave and go elsewhere for any reason they wish

If you don't hate one you shouldn't hate either.

I don’t hate anybody but the notion Hamer loved the club and wanted to stay is dishonest

Yeah that's fair. Not asking people to love him just don't get the hate that's all.
The hate from people comes from the love of the players - we all wanted to keep gus, vik and ohare, we'll always be a stepping stone until we can start offering premier league football and over 30k a week contracts.

I think the main difference is Hamer went to the prem and we received circa £12m. Ohare moved sideways on a free for extra cash and is ex Villa. Most of us would've done the same for more money, but equally can't be surprised by the reaction.

However, giving Hamer the reacharound during games when he's been instrumental in goals against us is nauseating, showing appreciation after the game is fine.

Anyone who seriously believed Hamer had any intention of staying should expect a knock on the door from the wallet inspector sometime soon.

Dishonest from whom?

I don't recall hearing anything official from him, just things from people with connections in the club (and more fool anyone who gives anything someone like gimoc says credence).

I think he clearly enjoyed his time here and has affection for the club, but I don't think there was confirmed dishonesty from him, was there? Rumours he wanted to stay seemed nothing more than hopeful hearsay.

Robins didn't confirm, the interview basically said that he and everyone knew/was resigned to Hamer and Vik leaving after the loss. There would have also been agent noise before the play off final that the club would have known the best chance of them staying was dependent on promotion.
Probably not much different than the same thoughts every fan was having on the way home that day.

The idea that he effectively handed in a verbal transfer request on the coach seems very unprofessional
