By the time Robins bought Bassette in we were fully a 433 side.When we were playing 3-4-1-2? I don't think so. Sakamoto was brought in as a RWB who can slot in at AM. Which is why after Sakamoto gets injured post-PNE, we play 3-4-1-2 again quite few times.
The recruitment issues haven't moved on from when we played that formation because we don't have numbers out wide.

So the idea that he is suddenly going to play Bassette over Simms is wierd.

It’s a massive fee for a player who’s currently fifth in the pecking order behind a youth team player who spent last season at Grimsby Town.It's not a massive fee for a development player. I'm sure they thought they could develop him into something more when he was signed. He's still only 19, so potential for a good career for him whether here or somewhere else.

He’s supposedly one of our top 20 or so most expensive signings of all time, why should we cut him slack for not being up to scratch for a game against L1 opposition in the cup? Bassette started against Swansea in the league. I doubt he personally would have asked for him because that's mental, there's no way he'd have known about him, but he definitely had final say on pulling the trigger.

i dont get all this attitude stuff, we know nothing thats going on behind the scenes, lampard sugguested things, but still, i think the context isnt fully there.Hopefully we can negotiate some sort of mutual termination agreement. Can’t see it with his attitude though
