With the controversy surrounding the new Huddersfield kit I'm genuinely interested in what people's attitudes are towards buying the club home shirt more generally.

Will buy one as the first Prem one for 20 plus years whatever

If I really like it I'd get one but the last home I bought was the first year back with hummel so I'm more of an away kit fan usually.

only cov shirt ive bought in the last 10 years is the retro remake of the 1988 kit

I almost always buy one (or mainly the wife buys me it lol) but I have to like it as well, this year I think I'll be torn

Usually buy them for running and 7 a side. Won’t buy the new one as it’s shite.

I always buy one, so I will, probably won't wear it too much.

Haven’t had one since the tramlines one from 22/23 - was gonna go all out this year with patches etc.

May be a DHGate job, at least the colours should match this year

I don't buy them, though I did buy the 19/20 home and third kit. I don't know how people wear them, they make you sweat like fuck.

I won't be buying this season if the leaks are true. I hated the 87 kit at the time, especially paired with the change kit of dark shorts. People seem to have forgotten that our kit that season had white shorts (marginally better) and we only changed when we played Leeds and Spurs as they played in white shorts. I am not a fan of kits with 3 main colours, it rarely works. Predominantly sky blue is a must for me.

Usually buy one for kids, often one for myself (when it looks nice). Bought most of the retro remakes / ebay older shirts where possible.

Given the price rises on season tickts i have decided to not buy one for myself, and will wait and see for kids, to claw some of my CCFC related spend back. Given the leaked images, theres no way we will buy that effort this time, maybe the away/third will be nicer.

Haven't bought one since the 1987 winning shirt, just buy t-shirts instead with Club crest on.

I've never bought the current season's shirt but I have bought previous season's shirts if I like them and they are on offer.

I'll definitely get one this season, being the PL at all. Maybe not the home one but I'm sure we'll have 4 or 5 to choose from by the time DK is finished.

I only ever wear them for the gym or to play football / sport and don't wear them to games. I tend to usually buy if I like them or at the end of the season in the sale.

It isn't a must have.
why dont you wear one at a game?

I buy them for running and the gym but don't bother if I don't like them. I didn't bother with the last stripes kit (KoS) because it was shite.

So chaps, when is the away kit launch. 🤣

Amazing that nobody buys one and nobody admits to wearing them out and yet every game there are thousands and all over the town. I'm 53, I buy them and wear with pride, dont care what anyone says or thinks I should or shouldn't be wearing. I took 14 on holiday with me, +1 to travel. The only decision I had was which ones to leave at home. I wear them every day and then change into a proper shirt to go out for a meal at night.

Always nice to hear an occasional Sky Blue Army as you walk down the street in a foreign town, or even telling the locals that it's not Manchester City and who Coventry City are and that we've just been promoted to the PL.

Some fans slating the new kit are the same ones who loved that orange monstrosity, prefer the recent plain sky blue but it’ll look ok with the full kit

Yeah never warmed to that hot coral.
Latterly (Mid nineties to around 2010) my parents suggested, so I went along with them buying the new shirt as my birthday present (Mid August)
I sold my collection about 7 or 8 years ago.
All I have left are retro 1950’s - dark blue stripes with collar and buttons, a long and short sleeved late 1960’s/early 1970’s, admiral tramline short sleeved 1975-1981 and that brown stadi arena one from around 2010.
I’ve recently bought a load of seasons past shirts for my boy but it’s gonna be a couple of years at the earliest before they nearly fit him.
Don’t buy the shirt for myself anymore but occasionally purchase ‘themed’ wear.
