No it wouldn't, the capitalisation throughout shows it is a collect of initials not a word. It would be like calling the UN the "Un".

    High Court Match Thread

So, quick summary of the situation ahead of tomorrow's big match at the High Court. The teams: ACL - possess a ground but no one willing to play in it for a fee. CCFC Ltd - possess an agreement to play at the Ricoh and (we suspect) the right to play in the football league. CCFC Holdings Ltd -...

Why should clubs be docked points

As well as brining in points deductions, wasn't it Leicester going into admin that caused the company building our Arena to pull out, escalating the cost and helping to push the club to turn to the council to get the ground completed? Ingenious ticking time bomb devised in Leicester!

Interesting line in that story: On the one hand the League are saying they are still gathering the facts, but the second half of this quote suggests they think the administrator is in charge of the club. I.E. The club is Coventry City FC Ltd, not Coventry City FC (Holdings) Ltd.

    Club Statement on remaining games

Are they going to add a new ribbon to the club badge to fit the word "(Holdings)" on? On a serious note, was the licence actually terminated Mr Fisher or are you just hoping it has been terminated? The thought the administrator listed the licence as one of the assets of Coventry City FC Ltd...

CET: Joe Elliot confirms talks and that Hoffman Would also join the board.

As I understand it you get -10 for going into administration. You get an extra -15 if you fail to exit administration with a company voluntary agreement (CVA) - i.e. if those owed money do not agree to the deal the administrator makes to clear up the mess. As Sisu, through the Arvo fund, are...

I agree it would be a big ask, but not completely impossible. Teams do get 90 point seasons occasionally - though I don't think I have to check the record books to know it has never happened to Coventry in my life time! :(

CET: Joe Elliot confirms talks and that Hoffman Would also join the board.

We got close this season despite throwing away 12-18 points at the start of the campaign. Another potential issue could be what squad we have available - if the players have moved to CCFC Holdings, but the Golden Share stays with CCFC Ltd, who knows what team will be turning out in Sky Blue next...

Preston Haskell IV to buy Alan Higgs charity.

My reading of what PWKH said is that there is no sale agreed. I don't think PWKH is saying Haskell IV couldn't potentially do a deal in the future, just that the Sunday Times story that a "deal has been agreed" is not factually correct at this time.

    The Football League Golden Share

And isn't one of the requirements for getting the Golden Share that you need unfettered use of a football stadium - so would the football league sanction the transfer of the share if the ground lease does not move with it? Wouldn't it be awkward for Sisu if the league said you can move the...

Preston Haskell IV to buy Alan Higgs charity.

I could see a scenario where he might agree to buy out the Higgs Charity stake in the Ricoh if he can buy the club too. But if he buys the half share in ACL before controlling the club, wouldn't Sisu just inflate their sale price because they would know he was already committed to doing a deal...

    Or are fans the solution?

Yeah, Madrid and Barcelona suck. On a serious note, most of those in England are splinter teams or small clubs where the fans have taken over fairly recently. I don't recall it really being tested here yet with a team with decent attendances. As FFP puts the brakes on reckless spending, it could...
