Anti Wasp march / protests. Where are they ?

No, I think the new deal will be more. One can have a peaceful landlord tenant relationship - as I have with 2 tenants. I haven't raised the rent for years because I don't want to lose my good tenants. I have one tosser who I will gladly charge more to knowing he will have problems in Hamburg...

Anti Wasp march / protests. Where are they ?

It is not the same. Wasps are fighting Wasps' corner. SISU are fighting their corner - which means trying to preserve some value in CCFC ( it is their sole aim ). Wasps are only interested in keeping Cov happy and getting some Revenue from CCFC. If we piss them off they could just put the rent...

Yes, I see that, but the capacity is 3 or 4000 at the moment. They 'intend' putting in housing units, shops, training facilities. To fit all that in they need height or depth - which is why the sunken Pitch first appeared on the agenda. They would have to build bigger stands than those at...

No-one is bothered about the council flats over the road. For one they don't have proper balconies. It is the modern oap flats overlooking the stadium from the side that are the problem. The idea of a sunken pitch comes from Rugby JS and/ or TF. They have already seen the complaints coming.

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

In my case older Germans - who are now dead - have told me of their experiences under Nazi rule. My father told me of his experience watching Coventry burn as a young man... when I hear the rhetoric of Farage and co, I just feel that we are moving in the wrong direction.... the burning of a...

Match Thread Walsall v Coventry Match Thread - Saturday 29th Oct

I admit to admiring your optimism. Despite everything you are always there. I also think you are right - that we will come good and be nowhere near relegation at the end of the season.

Anti Wasp march / protests. Where are they ?

There is one stadium in Cov that is big enough for a League 1 club. We rent it for 100000 and get 72000 back from F&B. 28000 net for circa 26 games. About 1000 per game. With around 10000 crowd the cost per ticket sold is virtually nil. If we protest, vandalise, insult, slander etc., will...

I think the height is a problem. The OAP flats have balconies and are not cheap. Someone will object. That is why the sunken pitch idea has already been mentioned. The potential flooding has also been mentioned before.

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

Actually if an insurance company made such promises and didn't keep them, they would be done for fraud and have to pay compensation..

Your argument would hold water if we - assuming it ever happens for the sake of argument - had a site which would allow for expansion at a later date when the success is there. We know how difficult and costly it is to find a site - not to mention the years it takes from start to finish. If we...

    Christmas Market in Europe

My mates have Irish Bars there just round the corner. Paddys Bar is the nearest. Small and friendly. Schauenburgerstr 40, and there is the Irish Pub ( Fleetenkieker - they had to keep the old name ). This is downstairs in a cellar from the "Altes Rathaus" which is a historic building in...

There hasn't been a 15000 let alone 25000 stadium there before - and there is no planning permission for a stadium that big. So how have the OAPs not done due diligence? If anyone should be checking things out it is SISU who should be looking for solutions instead of claiming an embargo.

'Gay cake' appeal: Christian bakers Ashers lose appeal

I thought the Christian message was different. As devout Christians they should have followed the doctrine of Christ and written it. I thought Christ's doctrine was supposed to be about peace and love, not censoring cakes. Apparently I'm wrong.

'Gay cake' appeal: Christian bakers Ashers lose appeal

It is not their right to discriminate. If you offer a service it should be to everyone. If they are not prepared to deal with, e.g. non-believers, gays, Catholics, Protestants, blacks, whites, unmarried mothers- or whoever doesn't meet their own views/ prejudices - religious or otherwise- then...

'Gay cake' appeal: Christian bakers Ashers lose appeal

Where do you stop though? In the US there was a case of Somali taxi drivers not taking people from the airport because they had duty free alcohol as it was against their religion to have anything to do with alcohol - it may tempt them to drink. If you allow christian bigotry you have to allow...

Anti Wasp march / protests. Where are they ?

Is that the sum of your anti Wasps protest? You being one of the biggest protagonists of putting pressure on Wasps. I bet they are quaking in their boots.

    Observation!

Well, no it isn't. CCFC were committed to returning within 3 years either to a new stadium within 8 miles of Earl Street, or as owners of the Ricoh. Neither of which they did btw.
