The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

Looks like you couldn’t find a quote from me supporting Tusk‘s actions in Poland...... as I said, there aren’t any..

    Oh Jeremy Corbyn

I didn’t say anything of the sort. Making things up again. I didn’t comment because it didn‘t pillory anyone. The paper edition did. It also portrayed people who voted for democracy as selfish.

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

Trying to sneak things through could cause a backlash and yes, it could fuck up Brexit. In what way do I want the EU to sneak things through? I am for the plan to give MEPs more power and to make a second chamber more transparent and democratic as a control on the EU parliament. The opposite of...

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

Letting the MPs decide on the final deal. And not letting the government sneak things through without a vote.

    Oh Jeremy Corbyn

Bit of a sweeping unsubstantiated statement. Do you think Grieve putting the amendment forward knowing that there would be the usual lynch mob mentality on the front page of the Mail which resulted in abuse and death threats, was just about him? You played down the Mail‘s vicious attack on...

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

The bigger picture is the rule of law coming from parliament. An advisory referendum did not give a blank cheque. The vote will probably be respected, but parliament remains sovereign. To try and ignore that sovereignty is against the principles of parliamentary democracy. You claim that...

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

The death threats are flowing in for the ‚traitors“. As Grieve has reported. Some people think parliamentary democracy ended with the referendum. I am glad for every „democratic check“ along the Brexit path.

Try reading. I said being reviled by the present Polish government is a plus. Whatever else may be going on.

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

Doesn’t effect what I said. Polish government in trouble with the EU for trying to do away with democratic norms. Hungary will use veto to protect them.

Being reviled by supporters of the present right wing government in Poland is a plus.

So if the country changes it’s mind, and parliament exits Brexit, you will willingly accept the result?

I don’t know what he thinks about leavers.

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

No it wouldn’t. The death of democracy would be when our parliament cannot make it’s decisions on whether or not to leave the EU. Our sovereign parliament is boss - not the potato pickers in Boston or the postal workers in Chatham. It is not mob rule.

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

If our parliament can no longer rule, then you ain’t seen nothing yet.

So you cannot answer my question then. Ok.

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

If a democratically elected parliament in a country ruled by parliamentary democracy defeats Brexit then that’s it. It’s democracy, get over it.
