The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

Exactly that. What has that got to do with Juncker, Merkel, a German plot to rule Europe or “they” and who is losing a vote? Ratification usually involves party or people voting. I have said several times that I would vote for a federal Europe.

No. Germany is very organised. The parties set out their wishes for a coalition contract. The FDP couldn’t get anywhere and left the talks. SPD is now speaking to CDU/CSU. It will end up as Grand Coalition Lite. Agree to work on something’s and let Parliament decide where they don’t agree.

They lose their VETO not their VOTE. In other words they accept the Parliament of MEPs and majority voting in the second chamber where they have voting rights but no veto. So who has lost what vote? Please answer and not dodge the question.

Certainly no worse than the scrapping in May‘s minority government.

You keep saying Merkel is against Schultz‘ Plan. What has she got to with Juncker’s policy statements? Oh, sorry, I keep forgetting she rules the fourth Reich from Brussels...

They wouldn’t be losing their vote. They would automatically leave is what was said. They wouldn’t be entitled to a vote if they weren’t in it. The same as the UK and Australia and anyone else not in the EU. Is that what you mean by being undemocratic? Or countries having their vote taken off...

Germany? They helped rebuild it and used it as the front line in the Cold War. Still troops here. My brother, the nice one, works for them.

    1. you say people are losing a vote. I am asking who? I don’t know any by name. 2. No. so do the Germans. Steinmeier, the president, has asked them to sort something out for the good of the country. Where have I denied that? 3. No. we have already talked about that. He thinks Brexit has opened...

What on earth are you on about? I asked you tell me who 'they' are and what vote 'they' are taking away? Up until now you have not given me an answer. Schultz has put a proposition forward, but as he is not in the EU or in a government at the moment, it is just a proposition. What control is he...

Which vote are you talking about? Giving people's representatives more power is certainly not your thing. And majority voting stops single countries trying to block policy for whatever reason. Much more democratic to accept majority voting. You say you like democracy, but when it's 26:2 for...

No. Just pointing out that there are lot of arseholes who want to smash the EU. They want the trade benefits, but not social rules and minimum wages, which is why they will no doubt slag off people like Schultz who want more democracy and less tax dodging. You will no doubt be with them.

Are you confusing losing veto rights because of majority voting ( democracy), with losing voting rights ( not democracy)?

Well if they are deflecting then it’s not working. BTW it’s public schoolboys, millionaires and hedge fund managers in the UK against the EU. Against NAFTA in the USA are billionaires, hedge fund managers and 3 of Trumps cabinet are Goldman Sachs ex employees and of course Bannon is ex Goldman...

Firstly. I have constantly pointed out what was actually said, which is not denying anything. Then comes „they“. Who are „they“? We were part of they fit 40 years. We were in the top 3 countries. You think that by making things more democratic people or countries would be giving up voting...

    Coventry, City of Culture 2021

We were one of the first cities with a pedestrian zone and one of the first if not the first, with a ring road. Everyone learned from our mistakes. A problem with being the first. We wanted a city built for motor cars as we were a city of motor cars. That was what I remember being the priority...

That they have given up the right to vote. An elected parliament implies people voting. A second chamber of countries representatives with majority voting implies voting Which part involves not voting?
