WASPS press conference from the Ricoh at 10am

Can they actually buy it? Where does the council veto sit now? Is it gone? These are questions that also need an answer

    For a Winning Coventry team...

Think there might be a theme here.....

    My thoughts

And still people cling onto the notion that SISU will leave.....

Question for Grendel, Nick, Torch etc...

It's clearly the million dollar question - and we all know it should have been done and dusted - there's no dispute. But for people (not suggesting you here) to claim that the council have got a good deal for the City is wrong. Financially, morally, and for it's sporting institutions it's...

Question for Grendel, Nick, Torch etc...

So the 'package' is around £20m - that's not £20m upfront though is it?? That includes taking on the payment of a £13.4m loan but not removing liability for it A peanuts pay-off to Higgs and CCC. and an approximate value of £1m for a 250 year lease?? In return for 100% ownership and a 250 year...

Question for Grendel, Nick, Torch etc...

One thing that I found frustrating was that the bigwigs at ACL were pretty much untouchable - in terms of the electorate at least.

Question for Grendel, Nick, Torch etc...

The fact is that the deal that allowed Wasps to buy ACL is no better than any of the deals that SISU put together. We had people saying that a children's charity was being done out of money by SISU - well they've been well and truly done on this deal. Months of claims from CCC about how SISU's...

    Who owns Wasps??

Hedge fund based in the Cayman Islands I believe....

    Council the real baddies?

If we later find out that SISU are involved in the Wasps consortium - the same people will be spitting blood at the injustice of it all.

If councillors believe that CCFC will leave and build a stadium outside the city

They don't care - they have made that much obvious.
  12. Ian1779

Wasps deal is for 100% of ACL

250 year lease.... 100% ownership. For a rugby club with a lower average attendance than ours, has no European competition and is in the lower reaches of the Premiership. SISU are in on it....

    sisu on the ropes

There is going to be an awful lot of disappointed people here. They're not going anywhere.

Questions for Waggott and Fisher at the Trust open meeting

Ask him if they are a silent partner in the Wasps deal?
  15. Ian1779

    As i see it,

If they were to build it - you would expect this to be part of the plans.

Joy Seppala: “We will not interfere with any deal between Wasps and ACL re: Ricoh"

Again it's all conjecture. But ultimately there is a possibility that if Wasps were to take over the Ricoh that we could be kicked out. Not saying it will come to that but it could happen. Likewise - had we stayed at Ricoh all along then this potential deal could have occurred. This is what...

Joy Seppala: “We will not interfere with any deal between Wasps and ACL re: Ricoh"

Who knows? But IF they do will you go to a new stadium in Coventry?

Joy Seppala: “We will not interfere with any deal between Wasps and ACL re: Ricoh"

We could have stayed at the Ricoh all along and exactly the same thing could have happened.

Joy Seppala: “We will not interfere with any deal between Wasps and ACL re: Ricoh"

And if they are forced??? Still take the same line?

Joy Seppala: “We will not interfere with any deal between Wasps and ACL re: Ricoh"

Are you for real? If we had to leave Ricoh, and had to build a new stadium - in Coventry, you wouldn't go? Call yourself a fan...
