    Nene Park

I can see the stadium from my house... it's a quite a tragic story really. I know the new 'thing' is for fan-based ownership... but if there ever was there a cautionary tale it's this one.

    Message for acl-sisu

This is the only deal that should be considered. Buy them out completely. This is where the club have to pay a fair price, and the council have to play ball.

Wasps in talks to takeover Ricoh

What project? How exactly has that benefited the surrounding area and the city of Coventry in general?

Wasps in talks to takeover Ricoh

They had a mortgage that they were servicing. They made extra payments on top.

Wasps in talks to takeover Ricoh

Maybe so - lets hope you are right. People are rightly concerned considering we thought we had finally turned a corner upon our return to Ricoh. If SISU were offered same potential deal as Wasps and then turned it down then they would deserve the criticism. I'm not sure how the club can be...

Wasps in talks to takeover Ricoh

Why do I need to be impartial? I already support a club that doesn't own it's own stadium due to a multitude of reasons, is it so wrong to not want to become a second-class tenant in a stadium that could be given priority to another team in another sport?

Wasps in talks to takeover Ricoh

Hypothetical question. So lets say Wasps buy the stadium, and turf the club out. The club goes and builds a new stadium because it has no choice. Will people be supportive then of a new stadium?

Wasps in talks to takeover Ricoh

They are hardly in condemnation of the move are they? I thought the paper was all about forgetting about the past and moving forward? Not finding every opportunity to drag up details from the past to lambast the club. I would have thought the CET would come out in support of the football club...

Wasps in talks to takeover Ricoh

I'm not saying they do... but given that a lot of the comments he makes don't actually come to fruition. Most people don't believe a word he says anyway. Unless of course it's to suit an argument.... then it's gospel.

Wasps in talks to takeover Ricoh

In the last month we have not heard that - in fact we have been told that the club could potentially stay long term. That's hardly the rhetoric of a club looking to get out at the earliest opportunity. EDIT - I am referring to the comments of Waggott.. the guy that did the deal to return.

Wasps in talks to takeover Ricoh

Where did I say they should? Of course they should have their money back. My point was referring to the fact that Higgs have not taken profit from the ACL venture. So are they really a children's charity (in the context of this deal only) if they are not utilising the money from it to support...

Wasps in talks to takeover Ricoh

They're not going to leave are they.... unless of course they are kicked out by their new landlords.

Wasps in talks to takeover Ricoh

If you want to go down that line then perhaps it's worth thinking about where all the profits from ACL have gone over the last 9 years? Surely a deprived kid is more deserving of that money than paying down a mortgage we were told they could manage sufficiently.

Wasps in talks to takeover Ricoh

SISU were never going to return to Ricoh on a rental deal. The language changed from build to own a stadium. Now the club are back - initially on a 2 year deal.... There has been a shift in the approach - The comments suggest a change whilst trying to publicly save as much face as possible...

Wasps in talks to takeover Ricoh

If the children's charity was so concerned about their money.... you have to wonder why they invested in the first place knowing full well they could have lost the lot....

Wasps in talks to takeover Ricoh

Bear in mind that the club returned to the Ricoh within the last month, after over a month of negotiations. The club may well be initially suggesting that it is not a deal forever, but given the bad blood previously between the parties - it's not really that odd that a short-term deal was...

Wasps in talks to takeover Ricoh

The only thing it goes to show is that a club not owning or at least controlling it's own stadium has no long term future. That occurred long before SISU's arrival. I would be far more interested to know if ACL/CCC are prepared to offer SISU the same deal at the same price? After all that would...

Wasps in talks to takeover Ricoh

You're delusional if you think it would make SISU leave. It would make their stay even longer. Clearly you put your hatred for SISU above your love for CCFC.

    If (if)

Quietly deflecting my question there.... So i'll ask again - will you still defend ACL if they agree to sell to Wasps if at the time of the deal (which is after the club have returned) they did not allow the club to put in an offer or negotiate??
  20. Ian1779

    If (if)

And if they have not been given the oportunity to negotiate??
