    Evans’s Behaviour

That’s a big generalisation there Macca. A lot of posters on here who don’t like the way Evans behaves, also have no time for people who abuse women.

    Evans’s Behaviour

Excellent videos, thank you. And I agree, I was right behind the Cov penalty decision (in the Mansfield main stand) and as soon as their player stumbled into our player, I said penalty. He took our man down.

    Evans’s Behaviour

I would be embarrassed to say he was our Manager. Surely there are some lines that you don’t cross? As I said at the start of this thread, I was 5 rows behind him, and was appalled at what I saw. The incessant attempt to influence the officials, primarily by bullying them, we have enough that’s...

    Evans’s Behaviour

There was an issue at the Ricoh earlier in the season? And today, I was just behind the Mansfield dugout, I didn’t see MR doing anything to upset Evans, but Evans was at MR during the game, and was blowing a gasket in MR’s face at the end. Then blames Robins in his post match conference.

    Tic, Toc, Tic, Toc

I think the thread started in that vein, although the OP jumped the gun by posting at half time! There have been some negative posts on here, which seems unfortunate to those of us who witnessed a fighting performance against the odds today.

    Coventry RFC Thread 18/19

42-0!! What a great result, and two excellent away results from the two premier Coventry teams!

    Tic, Toc, Tic, Toc

It’s not a one game season, no, it’s a 46 game season, but anyone who was there today knows that criticism of today’s result is totally wide of the mark.

Match Thread Coventry City at Mansfield Town Match Thread - Saturday 24th Feb

Yeh, in the Yes, in the Mansfield main stand, some of the more thoughtful fans were saying that we were by far the better passing team, and that they were lucky we only had ten men for 75 minutes - plus the wickedly deflected goal. And you’re right SP, Evans was going mad at the end, he was...

    Evans’s Behaviour

Was, in my opinion, a disgrace to football. I didn’t think we would get away tickets, so we got tickets in the Mansfield main stand, and were sitting 5 rows behind the Mansfield dugout. We’ve all seen top managers lose it occasionally with the officials (Ferguson, Conte, Wenger, Mourinhio etc)...

I can only think you’re a wind up merchant, and therefore not worth entering discussion with.

Unbelievable. The team started well today, then a sending off and a huge deflected goal against us. Then a performance of great character and a deserved draw. How can we have such negativity after a performance that made me proud?

I’d read no POTG, but I may be wrong!

I’m at the game today, and have 2 spare adult tickets. So if anyone is travelling without a ticket, just message me on this thread and I’ll meet at the at ground.

I can let you have 2 tickets, one at child’s price, one adult, if you can find one more ticket?

How dreadful for these little boy’s family and friends, and for the whole City. Cov players will be wearing black armbands, should we as fans do something? A minutes applause on 2 and 6 minutes, or perhaps on 26 minutes? Not sure how these things are arranged? Thoughts?

    Mansfield tickets

I also have two tickets available (adults). Would need to meet you at the ground.

    Coventry RFC Thread 18/19

A bit off piste, but Cov have a huge game on Saturday, against Darlington Mowden Park, in Darlington. Top v second, and a win for Cov could put us out of sight. I would go normally, but, I will be watching my Number 1 Cov team at Mansfield. So, if there are any Coventrians up in the North East...

    North based Sky Blues fans?

Hi Mullingar! I live in Hexham, and spend a fair bit of time on the North Northumberland coast, Embleton, Bamburgh, Budle Bay etc. Beautiful part of the world, and good to know there’s some more City fans in Northumberland.

    R.I P Ken McPherson

Yes, he left Cov in 1958 and I started watching in 1963, so never saw him play for City. I do know of him from various books I’ve read, and his scoring record was excellent, 38 goals from 88 games. I’m thinking I may well have seen him playing against us for Swindon in the mid 60’s, as I didn’t...
