They'll have put the request in before no doubt but will have taken time to process etc. The system is a shitshow in fairness, nobody knows for certain who will be granted an exemption & who won't. Rente would have got 18 points last season & therefore comfortably qualified (15+ is an Auto...

The problem is yes, whilst on the face of it it's great to keep your best players but to what end? Are they going to fire us to promotion? Seems unlikely given the start we've made & the lack of depth & balance throughout the rest of the squad. We had budgeted to sell one enabling us to...

Surprisingly not given how sloppy we've been. I think this is partly to do with our opposition & the small sample size though (as in we haven't really played against teams that look to dominate the ball yet). 21/22 - 53.2% Avg. Possession (6th) 22/23 - 58.3% Avg. Possession (5th)

Yeah... Fair play to him to actually wanting to get out & play rather than sitting on £20k p/w to do nothing. Stinks of us taking him out of absolute desperation but beggars can't be choosers I guess 😐

Excellent player, would be happy with that.

    Change of shape

I think he'd like to but with O'Hare injured & Palmer unable to play full games yet we are a bit short in the 10 position. As I said before the season began, Waghorn would be worth a shot there & I thought he did ok last night.

I'd be very surprised if Festy Ebosele doesn't find himself at Watford soon.

    Federico Fernandez Newcastle

Good player, 33 years old, injury ravaged & on £45k per week... Sounds a bit fanciful.

No doubting his quality just can't work out how we'd make it work financially.

    Transfer Shouts

Don't disagree that he had some poor games but doesn't everyone? Disagree on the QPR thing though, I've always rated him & said as much before we signed him. I would like to have got him permanently (as would Robins) not least to have a permanent LCB for the first time, but his injuries may mean...

    Transfer Shouts

Clarke-Salter is very good & a bit more consistent at this stage but his injury record was always going to be a concern. You can see Panzo has quality but he's pretty raw & positionally all over the shop at times. Doyle is excellent in possession, I wonder if he may struggle with the...

    Stop the clock

Really, really bad time management by the referee last night. The Woodburn injury (ironically suffered by fouling Wilson for which he should have been booked) took over 3 minutes, Eccles' injury was a further 2mins then they also had the defender that lay down in the goalmouth when nobody was...

Mark Robins is responsible for Hyam being sold

Agreed. Ours & Luton's are some of the best recruitment teams around given what they have to work with. They have at least been able to pay some (relatively) substantial fees this season too which we sadly can't. This season maybe but Cameron Jerome, Henri Lansbury?

In fairness, that is very low by Sheaf's usual standard. He (and the team as a whole) were unusually sloppy in possession last night. What it does highlight for me is just how little impact Allen has on games, 20 touches less than Sheaf despite playing 30 minutes more.
