    Jordan Turnbull

YESSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!! (as Keiren Crowley would have put it on the Sky Blues Wall) My surname is Turnbull (like Gaz71 & my dad who posts on here, Pete in Portugal) and I very much look forward to hearing the CWR commentators shout his name for a goal - so long as it isn't for a ridiculous OG at...

    Gaps in the squad...

Anyone else hoping we re-sign Jack Stephens on loan? As well central defence he can play right wing back and also (possibly) defensive midfield. If we're going to have a small squad I think he would be a great player to have (even though I think we need a dominant centre half more urgently)

    Kyle Reid

Last summer many felt that we'd signed one of the best League 1 defensive midfielders in Vincelot, this summer we are hopefully getting one of the best wide players. We have already replaced RV with McCann (for 6 months anyway). When Swansea went up they relied heavily on Nathan Dyer (and...

    That's enough

According to Matty Roper's report, RV wanted to leave Not exactly shocking to sell a player in that situation...

    Lee Burge???

Every time the opposition get a free kick within 25 yard of goal, there is a strong possibility Burge will let it in. It keeps happening because he positions himself too far to the other side of the goal from where the wall is. Surely Oggy must have noticed this too...? His reactions are good...

    Overhyped Player

Greg Downs Harsh to mention a popular cup winner with us, I know, but opposition teams used to target him regularly because of his lack of pace. Obviously John Sillett rated him highly and his commitment was never in doubt. (Also I admit I appreciated him more when we signed Paul Edwards as his...

    Signing Number 3!

Don't think Bigi is as bad as some are making out. He does give away possession more than most, but often because he is attempting ambitious forward passes. Much rather have him than Connor Thomas in our squad. Even if he's not having the best of games, he doesn't hide, which so many...

    Euro 2016 big thread

Though Henderson's crossing let him down tonight, I don't think his performance was as bad as others are making out. Unlucky not score with that volley which was well blocked too... As for Wilshire, thought he really was poor. Gave away possession frequently and not physical enough. Unlike...

How would you feel if we...

Wow... Never been called that one before! FWIW I absolutely despise rugby (always have done, always will). I find it sickening to see the Wasps logo on our stadium and am surprised at the level of indifference towards Wasps merchandise being sold on our match days. Sometimes, situations are so...

How would you feel if we...

No, and I'm not an apologist for Wasps either. We are well and truly in the shit and may be forced into accepting things we don't want to happen. I wouldn't want us to do this (and it may well be that most fans who buy shirts would refuse to consider buying one, so we would lose out that way)...

How would you feel if we...

... had Wasps as the sponsor of our away shirt and played in yellow/black stripes away? I believe that we may already have an agreement in place for the away shirt next year, but can't help feeling that this could be a bargaining chip to get a bigger slice of revenue from the Ricoh from Wasps...

"Realistic" free transfers or signings only

Unlikely to get Taylor now that AFC Wimbledon have gone up. As I said on another thread, I think we should be after Scott Wagstaff (attacking midfielder just been released by Bristol City)

Mogga meeting with Championship and L1 players this week

Hope Scott Wagstaff was one of the players Mowbray met up with last week. Would be a very good addition - he wants more first team football (just been released from Bristol City) and is excellent at this level. Gadshev seems to be a replacement for Fleck, I think Wagstaff would be good in the...

    Bristol Rovers

I live in Bedminster, but used to live in Rovers territory (Horfield / Kingswood). Not been drinking on Gloucester Rd for years - think there are some quite expensive pubs which aren't all that special. Happy to listen to recommendations though... Good to see both Bristol clubs heading in the...

    Bristol Rovers

For obvious reasons I'm pleased too! Will involve a visiting a few pubs along the Gloucester Road... wise to avoid the Wellington Arms though (potential for trouble). Used to be a pub called the John Cabot which was a nightmare, but it was refurbished a few years ago - now called the Royal Oak...

    Jordan Willis back in training

Agree, Otis. Though he's not the tallest CB, he is good in the air for his height. When he broke into the first team I think he showed some promise as a CB. With him, Aaron Martin and young Harries we just need a beast of a CB to give us the right mix next year (one that isn't always injured...)

    Phillips: new contract or not?

Lots of fans often say 'get rid, he's crap' about a player, but don't about whether we could get better for the same money. Both Haynes and Phillips seem to be better going forward, so might depend on whether TM intends to play wing backs more often next season.

    Phillips: new contract or not?

have not been to a game for a while, so am wondering whether you think Aaron Phillips deserves a new contract based on last few games? Seems to be very committed to the cause and I get the impression he is improving defensively (less prone to rash challenges, maybe). I really don't know - I...

    Bradford Match Thread

Delighted to admit that my pessimism about the result was misplaced! A lot of credit to the team for playing with a lot of spirit - just listening on the radio, sounds like Aaron Phillips has made a lot of progress in particular in the past few games.

    Bradford Match Thread

Sorry guys, don't get the optimism Other team has it all to play for, we don't (we might have a mathematical possibility of playoffs, but it would take a bizarre sequence of results) We only beat Millwall because they went down to 10 men, form before that was dire 0-3 Bradford I hope Mowbray...
