Labovitch calls for independent ACL valuation

Completely agree with that point. Unfortunately, it's difficult to see that happening until the JR is out of the way. Perhaps afterwards?????????

    Ccfc & the world cup

Hutch played in the '74 World Cup in West Germany. Jim Blyth, Bobby MacDonald and Ian Wallace were all in Scotland squads prior to the '78 World Cup, but (as I recall) only Blyth went.

Council and Sky Blues in court tomorrow

I look forward to SISU releasing all their internal documentation relating to their time as owners as of our club. After all "if" they "have done nothing wrong then there would be no issue in the documents being made public will there?" "It's not like" we're "requesting personal...

Well he was heroic in a "trying hard although desperately out of his depth" way :)

Coventry City given Football League award for providing families with an ‘outstanding

I think they may be suggesting that a Coventry based newspaper shouldn't be concerning itself so much with a football club that plays in Northampton. Other than that, I can't see what the problem would be :)

Andy Turner tells it how it is...

Bluntly, anyone who saw that the club had been given this award - in a season where games have been moved 35 miles away and home attendances have been cut by 80%-90% - and didn't laugh out loud, simply has no sense of humour.

    Away games

It's a very valid point. My Dad is 83 and there is no way he can stand throughout a game. Consequently, he's had to give up going this season. If something could be arranged that would be very helpful.

Reasons not to push for an independent mediator and/or arbitrator

I think that the only way it would be of any real benefit was if it was binding arbitration. Thing is, I'm not sure that either side would go for that. Personally, I've always liked pendulum arbitration - each side puts in their price and the arbitrator has to go for one or the other. Stops...

Labovitch calls for independent ACL valuation

If we ignore the "we've moved on" statements from SISU (which I think most people have), the only way the club will move forward is to agree some sort of deal to get back to the Ricoh. That means that both parties have to put the "bad blood" behind them and try to develop a constructive...

    Sheffield United (A) Thread

First game I've seen for a while, with a few new faces on view. Defence generally looked OK, although as others have noted, Willis doesn't get forward very much. We didn't offer much in midfield. Thomas doesn't look half the player I saw in some of the earlier games. Prutton was tidy but not...

Take Us Home! rally: 1pm, Sat 10 May, Council House, Earl St, Cov

Strangely "half baked" is a phrase that often pops into my mind when I see one of your posts.

Take Us Home! rally: 1pm, Sat 10 May, Council House, Earl St, Cov

I've been watching City since the late 60's. I've had season tickets for most of that period despite never living less than 50 miles from Coventry (and often much more). Your suggestion that I didn't go to Sixfields because I "can't be arsed" is as ignorant as it is insulting

Even if the club's gone, surely we'll all still need somewhere to meet and insult each other :D

ACL has "net value of nil"

With a private house purchase, pretty much invariably, any existing mortgage will be paid off by the vendor as part of the process, so that the house is sold "unencumbered" (to use a favourite word in these parts). As you rightly say, the vendor is then left with the net proceeds after paying...

ACL has "net value of nil"

I refer you to "the first method" of valuation. The lease will produce (hopefully) positive cash flows, which have to be discounted back to a current value to arrive at a valuation. Whilst the business will be more valuable the longer the lease is - with a lease at 40 years plus - the impact...

ACL has "net value of nil"

The problem around the valuation of a business is that it's an art as much as a science - if you got 10 accountants to value a business you'd probably get at least 20 valuations and most of those would be ranges rather than figures! Broadly speaking there are two fundamental ways of valuation...
