Match Thread ⚽️ Coventry City vs Preston North End Match Thread - Wednesday 31st Aug

100% agree. Far too much negativity when we could, and should, have won all 3 games so far... losing due to goalkeeping errors. We are good enough for top 6. Waits for the usual abuse.

    Away Table

Sky Blues are 18th in the away table with all teams having played 3 away. There are 10 teams who have lost 2 away games . Considering the problems caused by the pitch and Simon Moore gifting the opposition 4 points at least and we are without O'Hare, far too early for all this negativity. We are...

8 points off automatics with 3 home games in hand.

I'll take that. This season it's wide open.

My best friend is a long standing season ticket holder at Crystal Palace and says Simon Jordan was shafted by predators. He rates Jordan highly, says he is passionate about football and would do am amazing job for CCFC.

    CBS issues

It matters not one iota if Wasps told CCFC they were not going to relay a new pitch. It matters not one iota if the CWG buggered up the pitch. The one and only relevance is the terms Wasps agreed to in the legal agreement they signed to provide a pitch fit for purpose for CCFC to play football...

Plague on all houses for me

I hope the EFL is sympathetic to the situation the club finds itself in as the EFL are responsible for arranging fixtures and must have been aware that rugby would be played just before the season started.

    CCFPA

As an 80 year old supporter since 1952, some members of the CCFPA may mean nothing to today's supporters but to us oldies even those former players who never quite made it, rekindles distant memories of the good old days. Is George Mason dead lol ?

    Who is Grendel ?

This person is obviously an experienced pundit with a wealth of football knowledge having spent many years in the professional game. Seems to disagree with the majority of those posting on this forum.... or is he just controversial on purpose to wind people up ? The word "ego" springs to mind.

    Michael Doyle

To conclude, I value Mark Robbins opinion of Michael Doyle over Grendel's opinion.

    Michael Doyle

According to Grendel, once a player reaches his prime and their abilities become less, they are rubbish and he doesn't care what they contributed when in their prime. Doyle is a legend, loves CCFC and always says we are his club.

    Missing the old stadiums

Touch of nostalgia, thinking about the stadiums we used to visit... The Dell, Burnden Park, Ayresham Park, Victoria Ground, Roker Park, Fellows Park, Gary Meadow, Eastville, Goldstone, plus few more !
