2018-19 Shirt Launch and Evening with Mark Robins - 29th June

Ha Ha Yes, remember it well too. Also ghosting on the screen, no fun trying to watch Star Soccer with 44 players on the pitch...and in black and white too. A couple of thumps on top of the cabinet and when that didn't work, yet another call to the tv repairman. The vertical hold button was...

2018-19 Shirt Launch and Evening with Mark Robins - 29th June

If it looks like this, then Yes, I could get to like stripes. I think the contrast and brightness settings are OK but I'm having trouble with my vertical hold though. Otherwise looks great.

Maybe the White kit has white stripes? Compromise found.

2018-19 Shirt Launch and Evening with Mark Robins - 29th June

Ah, but did Old Moore's Almanack predict that a team in blue and white stripes would win the L2 Play Off Final?? Any road up, we're the Sky Blues, not the Sky Blue and Whites.

    Coventry city centre

I find the need to touch and feel merchandise particularly true with food shopping. Due to laziness, I will occasionally do an online food shop, only to be mightily dischuffed when half of the items are not the size I thought I was ordering. This is probably due to advancing years and a lack of...

Turning up early and getting it wrong!

Back in the 90's I lived a half hour drive from Ewood Park. A Rovers mate of mine invited me to a Cov game there along with his wife and 2 kids, they would pick me up with his wife driving and I could use his season ticket as he had a free pass with his job as a Sports Ground Safety Officer...

    Civic reception

Sounds like an old 680 engine with origins before our last promotion. Bet there is an old boy nearby in brown overalls, flat cap, smoking a pipe and holding an oily rag just in case.

    Our finest point in history

Seem to recall the plans were even grander with expansion to 60,000 involving a huge development of the Kop end. Would have been interesting, but given the financial implications at the time, at least Robins had the good sense to pull back - unlike Richardson 30 years later. Enjoyed your...

    Our finest point in history

Agree. My first season at HR as a 6 year old. Seem to recall we went on a long unbeaten run in the league from before Christmas right through to the end. Crowds seem to increase match by match as did expectation, leading to the Wolves 'midlands match of the century' and promotion to the First...

It will be the same at Next and others from Boxing Day onwards, just a stock cleanse exercise to get rid of the tat that hasn't sold in the previous 11 months.
