BTA has into played CF for us once in the last 18 months, Lampard obviously doesn't see him there as he keeps playing Left, Right or number 10. Today he put BTA on right wing ahead of the two right wingers on the bench

Because of his work rate. He has less quality than some but cant deny his effort and an ideal player when down to 10 men.
 
Cherif is not a winger. He's a centre forward that's cost us a lot of money m. He has a lot of potential that we need to develop and help him realise. For the benefit of the team and for future revenue.

It's absolutely the right decision to have him play over Simms. Simms hasn't got a future at the club anymore, it's quite obvious.

Whilst I agree with you, the team has to come first, and it's a massive ask for a 19 year old, in a new country, in a new league, who doesn't speak English, who hasn't even been fit enough to make the bench until today and who now has the weight of the team not scoring for 4 games to carry for the next 3 games in Awoniyis absence. Regardless of his limitations, Simms really needs to come back into the fold.

I imagine Cherif will play against Villa, and how he performs will determine who starts in the league.

Awoniyi's a fucking knob, though.

Well it was Awoniyi and Cherif, in the squad. We play one CF in our formation(s) so there is no need for having 2 on the bench.

He brings him on , when we have 11. He offers nothing in this league. Championship definitely

Where is your evidence on any of this? Simms goal ratio, better than any of our strikers, minutes on pitch. This lad hasn't. Seriously, your post is embarrassing

Poor old Tats must be scratching his head, wondering what he has done wrong to not be given a chance ahead of the hopelessly inadequate BTA.

We really have missed the opportunity to clear out a load of players clearly not up to the PL. We are carrying a chunky wage bill on average players and storing up a real financial problem if we go down at the end of the season.

The thing is, we need to adapt to these players strengths.

We seem to just throw them on and keep playing how we did we taiwo up front and expect the same.

That's where he's played for the majority of his career. Lampard has said that's his position. And he's played twice for us in that position. He can play LW but he's a CF and that's what we've bought him for.

Where are these stats from?

They don't match anything I can see (transfermarkt, etc)

It's all immaterial anyway. He's a CF.
