Has anyone got any updates from the SBT meeting tonight?

[mattylad]

What have you done to benefit ccfc?

Answer: committed to relaying the pitch....

Lol.

Bit of a loaded question considering that they have not yet played once at the ricoh...surely this question we can only guage a year from now

True, but it's more the fact it is more of a benefit to them than it is to us. They get a pitch that will take a lot of games, look good on tv (they're on a lot), will take a lot of wear and tear enabling then to rent it out to us and others.

[Neutral Fan]

Nick Eastwood: Derek Richardson owns Wasps not a Hedgefund. Wasps own 100% of ACL. No other parties involved.

so whats with all the mgi, maltese hedge fund stuff we've been hearing for weeks? more spin and lies?

Richardson's company is called Moonshine. Moonshine are part of MGI Fiduciary Services (Malta). Wasps owners are, ultimately, MGI. Being based in Malta is presumably beneficial to them.

Exactly, it is for their benefit.

Will Leicester and WBA continue renting if it is a shit pitch? It's like me trying to rent a house out but having dog shit all over the carpet.

[Norman Binns]

Michael asked a decent question:

I wouldn't say that is being done to help CCFC is it? Are Wasps going to play indoors?

That’s right Nick, Wasp’s are improving the pitch all for themselves. After all, you need a bowling green surface for that elliptical shaped ball to zip across the surface with pinpoint precision.

[Neutral Fan]

The cracker so far:

'This move isn't franchising'

Well, if MGI / Moonshine / Wasps can really look people in the eye and say with a straight face ''this isn't a franchise'' then I'm not convinced they're going to be much different to SISI...though more efficient perhaps.

[Nick]

That’s right Nick, Wasp’s are improving the pitch all for themselves. After all, you need a bowling green surface for that elliptical shaped ball to zip across the surface with pinpoint precision.

So they are doing it entirely for CCFC then?

Pretty sure as landlords it is kind of expected isn't it for the pitch to be in good condition? They aren't going out of their way to do it for CCFC are they?

The lies / spin do seem to have started.

[dongonzalos]

So wasps looked at the Ricoh in December 2013.
Did SISU get given a deadline of Jan 14 to put in decent offer for ACL. Otherwise the council would be forced to consider alternatives options.
SISU let the deadline go and said we are building a new stadium, freehold or nothing?

So is moonshine owned by Richardson or MGI? Only you appear to say both.

Let's be straight none of those matches would have been committed to this year had the Club not up and offed .

Most unlikely that will be the scenario next season ,more relevant Is that the Women's team who were Invited In to play Sundays this

season definitely won't next season ,couldn't work out whether It may be a Prob for them the remainder of this one.

No, it all started this summer, Ann said.

Keep thinking up random situations to blame SISU

Some people rent a house and make it feel like home.
Others rent a house and despise their landlord due to jealously and they do nothing with the home themselves. Then it doesn't feel like home. That's the feeling I get when I visit the Ricoh these days.
It never used to feel like that.

Do you realise how stupid that sounds? Which club will be playing more games on it and which sport is reliant on an even playing surface. You could play Rugby Union on a farmers field.

I doubt it was jealousy that saw Van Hoogstraten and Rachman despised.

So I have thought it up? Or did it happen?
Did SISU get given a deadline to bid?
Was the deadline after wasps expressed an interest?
Did they get warned the council would move on?
Did they bid? No
Did they say freehold or nothing? Yes
Did the council move on? Yes

Which bit am I thinking up?

[stupot07]

Of course it's not stupid. Don't you ever watch any top flight and international rugby, they're rarely played on plough fields anymore.

Look at how nice this pitch is. http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-union/30256193

Oh and who makes money by renting out their pitch? And it will probably take and recover better from being covered for concerts, etc.

[chiefdave]

So is moonshine owned by Richardson or MGI? Only you appear to say both.

MGI, at least from it's website, looks more like a financial services company than a hedge fund. Do they actually own a stake in Moonshine, and if so how much, or do they provide services to them? As you point out if MGI own Moonshine and Moonshine own Wasps then Richardson doesn't own anything.

[Noggin]

Thats what I was asking, what was actually bought?

I don't know for a fact as mine was a gift but it's obvious that we don't own the brick and certainly wouldn't have any rights to do anything with it. No company would be stupid enough to sell something like that.

[chiefdave]

So wasps looked at the Ricoh in December 2013.

Would be interesting to know who approached who. Did Wasps see an empty stadium and see an opportunity or were CCC actively pursuing anyone they thought might be interested.

Does make you wonder if any of this would have happened if we had been playing there last season.

[Broken Hearted Sky Blue]

MGI, at least from it's website, looks more like a financial services company than a hedge fund. Do they actually own a stake in Moonshine, and if so how much, or do they provide services to them? As you point out if MGI own Moonshine and Moonshine own Wasps then Richardson doesn't own anything.

Where is OSB when you need him?

They're doing it for the mutual benefit of both clubs you great steaming idiot. Trouble is, you like many others are that blinded by your vicious hatred you can't see it.

[Noggin]

yes as I wrote it I was thinking well it wouldn't be as stupid as moving the club to northampton ;-)

[Brighton Sky Blue]

And to look good for the cameras. Ever seen Murrayfield at its worst?

Most u21 matches have been moved. Just 2 wba matches next year still planned for the Ricoh

[stupot07]

And to look good for the cameras. Ever seen Murrayfield at its worst?

Yep, It's all Linnell has been banging on about since they brought the Ricoh - Wasps will improve the pitch so it looks good on tv.

No, they are doing it because they are the landlord. You can't fault them for doing it as it needs to be done.

It will also be benefitting the women, wba, leicester and anybody else who uses it so it is in their interest as the landlord to have a good pitch isn't it?

Where have I been vicious? You just tried to say it wouldn't be for their benefit as rugby clubs don't need good pitches. Make your mind up.

It didn't really answer the question that he was asked did it? While by rights they don't need to go out of their way to help CCFC, don't give bullshit about doing it like the Council did.

I know he was already bullshitting about the PR Machine comment and the not a franchise comment.

Not women,WBA,Leicester or anybody else

Have they all been fucked off? In which case I apologise for being wrong if they aren't playing there now.

Agreeing with 'Kinell, Christ.

[wingy]

I asked one and gave a bit of advice.

First It was reported the deal was For £30M but ended up at £20M.

As you've now got a spare ten mill kicking round can you offer It to SISU to FO.

Reply don't believe all you read In the papers.

The Advice was to Shake It up at ACL If they wanted a return as they've been In the comfort zone .

Next season I think not sure should ask somebody that was paying more attention:facepalm:

That reply was very intheknow esque where it doesn't actually answer anything, just tries to imply.

Who was in the Comfort Zone?
