Was that the shock we needed?

Frank has to take his fair share of the blame today

Wingbacks that didn’t score a single goal between them last season in championship

A captain who has completely shrunk and isn’t a ball winner combined with Onyeka who put a good shift in but is woeful on the ball, neither good enough on the ball and grimes out of position chasing shadows

EMC out of his depth, BTA even more so

Rushworth is shot to bits

It’s a complete mess
I dont know what Rushworth could of done for the goals?

I don’t mind going down (that’s expected for most promoted sides)

But Beating that record would be something we’ll never live down as a club. The fact it’s still mentioned nearly 20 years on says everything. Forever a laughing stock.
Exactly… 25 years to get back and we’re making derbys points total look brilliant… we’d be no worse off if we’d of saved the 120 million and put out the same team as last season

Always said we were glad we didn’t win play offs in 22/23, as we really weren’t ready. Now feel like with some additions they would’ve put up a better scrap than this lot.

They were passing around us with ease, and that big lump of a centre back scored a worldie,10 men or not that was embarrassing

I'd like to think so but sadly I think it's going to be the norm . It's just too big a step up after 25 years.
To some who think we should have signed better quality players they are going to come to us until you become a PL established PL team like Brighton and co .

From where I was it seemed like Rushworth could have got to it but wasn’t expecting it. That was when he snapped at MVE and Amenda told MVE to come away and shooed him up the pitch. Shouldn’t be allowing a CB to shoot from there.
Not worth 22 million is he? Pants pulled down.

It was literally right in the corner, could not have placed it any better. Almost unstoppable really, unbelievable goal.

Just because we’ve been away 25 years should that have meant we had hundreds of millions to spend? That’s the only way we get a foothold first season back.

I think if we lose to Forest Lampard may very well be done I hope it’s not the case but King said there was no sentiment in football when sacking Robins. If not Lampard then I can see Austin been gone. King isn’t one to not act.
Christ there’s been some major league drivel posted today but that takes the cake

It significantly affected the outcome of the match.

Not sure we laid down either; they were better than us 11 v 11, so 10 v 11 was just a mismatch, which is what we saw. They were still trying to get something from the game.
We were already 2-0 so I wouldn't say it impacted the result significantly. It just put the small chance of a fight back out of the question.

Why does it, it’s a business and King is a business man. He sacked Robins and said there was no room for sentiment. The club has spent £150m this summer. He’s not going to stand by if things aren’t working, and the investments aren’t being used.
Villa just won the Europa League and have lost key players and they are talking about sacking Emery it’s a results business at the end of the day.
Not saying that’s what I want but it’s what happens in football.

I’m sorry but rushworth is not the problem. We can’t just randomly start going at everyone because we’ve been shit.
Brilliant lower league keeper. There’s a reason Brighton let him leave, and I’m sorry 22 million could have been spent better.

It’s not about how much though it’s the quality…. Hull have started 4 games with 8 players from last season..and spent 60 million more than us… Norton cuffy for 14 million…we signed hamer for 6 million who can’t even get on

Tzolakis was the same price..

That being said, I’m not sure what Rushworth has done wrong? I say this as someone who jumped on him early last season.

The only one you could question him on this season is the second Arsenal goal where he palmed it out

He was £10m cheaper than Rushworth

It’s hopefully a big wake up call for Lampard.

Today every CB was at fault for a goal. Slugs.

We had a midfield which is championship level and can’t control any flow.

We had EMC and Rudoni who lack pace to provide any outlet in this formation.

Frank doesn’t start hardly any of the new players.

Frank didn’t even change formation after being 2/3 nil down. Stuck with 5 at the back when we needed goals. Just give us something…

It goes on…

Responsibility is with the manager at the end of the day.

Can see Tory Doug sacking Lampard if we are 7 games with 0 points. We need to sort it out and very quickly.

Bin them off for who? Fictional players we can’t afford?
You guys spent just as much as we did the previous season. It’s how you spend your money, or rather where. You guys have signed a lot of reject players from lower league prem sides and players from championship sides. Always a recipe for disaster that.
