No getting away from that. We don't want to embrace the 'plucky losers' tag too much. We played well and lots of positive signs, but ultimately it was a game we should have got something from, and didn't. Regardless of the fact we expected nothing, you have to take the opportunities when they come along.

Next two games are huge. We don't want to head into a near month long international break with no points on the board - pretty obvious thing to say, but you feel the season hinges on us getting something, otherwise it's difficult to see how we come back from that. 40 points from a 33 game season would leave a mountain to climb.

His positioning was spot on; it doesn't matter what part of his body makes the save. That's not luck.

It's Simms' connection had have been less clean, though, it's probably a goal.

Listened to this on 5Live while out on a job and despite the bright start, I feared the worst once Haaland got his big lemon head to that cross. However, Frank and the boys had other ideas and it was a thoroughly entertaining listen, apart from the hugely irritating references to "City" - Manchester, of course. There were two cities on the pitch!

Great to see that the dispiriting start to the season hadn't knocked the stuffing out of the team - it was a superb response but lacking some clinical finishing. It's worth remembering that Frank is building a new team, and that's bound to take time. It would have been beyond optimistic to think that we wouldn't be rattling around the bottom of the league after playing the two best teams in that league. Onwards and upwards!

Yep the mistake isn’t withdrawing a hand it’s being too far forward
