Liverpool don't look like they feel threatened when Ipswich attack. Very comfortable.

David, you tried to get positives out of our defeat at home to Hull, you are not one to talk you big quivering quim

Im not disputing the shots had im telling yiu theyve not created anything of note
all their shots have been from the edge of the area with defenders back and they have gone straight at the keeper or hit the defender

i genuinely can not remember a good save Alison has had to make so far

Don't think they've got out of second gear all game tbh. Bit like Arsenal against us.
Been like a training game since 2-0.

That said arsenal finshed 25 points ahead of liverpool last season so the gap is still larger than we think between the 2 sides

Yep, they clearly if the wanted or needed to could have stepped through the gears and scored a few more and they have happily seeing this out with a couple of kids off the bench

The hull result was poor but a tad unlucky , but to play man city and arsenal away in our first 3 games is brutal

Check out Southampton first 4 games in 2012/13.

Comfortable and hardly trouble is the best way to describe that

I'm fuming about this offside rule I understood it had to be clear daylight between players?

that is only on trial in the Canadian league, it isn't an official law yet.

For all the lick arsing about their transfer business the only player I would take from Ipswich in their back line is Leif Davis

MVE > O’Shea
Amenda > Diop
Thomas > Greaves
Davis > Dasilva

Diop is nowhere near as good as I thought he would be and DAvis as the same issues loads of Championship LBs have in that he is good on the ball an d pretty suspect defensively

David: "We cannot judge our players after 2 games"

Also David: "Diop is nowhere near as good as i thought he would be"

Never change

Ipswich played with heart last night and were constantly in with the tackles. Just what you would expect from a home side really.

But in reality Scherpen looks suspect. He may be the tallest player ever in the Prem, but a GK needs much more. Their defence wasn't much better. Their midfield did well with the ball, but they seem to be like Middlesbrough last season and run out of ideas once reaching the penalty area.

Fatawu looked the same as last season. Happy to run with the ball and can occasionally go past his man, but he isn't very good at decision making. Palacios looked a danger for them at times, but he didn't get much meaningful back up from his teammates. If he spends nearly half the season on the treatment bench as he has done for several seasons Ipswich will be in trouble.

Fair play to Ipswich for giving it a go, but they don't seem to have much quality for the amount of money they spent.

Liverpool though

Just watching the Newcastle Bournemouth match it’s just miles faster and more physical than championship. Frightening at times when teams break away. I can understand why we have a more physical squad athletes with incredible football ability.
