When they go behind let’s see what they do

This is what peoplesaid about Hull last year "they're fighting the xG"

Thats how it tends to be. Being compact and going for a sucker punch may work enough to get them over theline

Hull starting well is clearly a bad thing for us though. We need a win soon.
We've been screwed over by the two away fixtures from that perspective but gambling last week was unnecessary on Lampard's part, there comes a point where you have to just accept you aren't scoring in a month of Sundays and call it 0-0.

It's incredibly hard to play 10 men behind the ball all season and not get found out eventually.
i'm baffled us, united and villa have looked at them low blocking the edge of the penalty area and not thought "let's trying going down the side of them" villa tried it a couple of times and should have scored

Like radio 5 just said a minute ago

Coventry on 0 points but have already played arsenal and city away

We are 3 points worse off that what we all expected

You'd think against better quality finishing at prem level it isn't sustainable but you never know

I really dont see Hull going down

Villa spunked a couple great chances today , they are getting the rub of the green so far
Villa were holding on for dear life at the end.

Can't argue that their 7 points are well earned. Havnt fluked it.

They have found a way of playing where they are very hard to beat ( well organised) and have some threats. They will be handful and confidence is sky high. Will be hard to stop.

Such a big game next weekend

We either need to win one or draw 2 before the break

I thought early in Villa had worked out Hull they were moving the ball quickly back to front other teams will have watched that.

Lol Villa 75% possession one shot on target ! Hull had 4 shots on target.

This is game about what you do in both boxes. That's where games are won and lost.

You'd hope not, and they have played another promoted side and two sides who are unreliable at the best of times.

Hopefully it turns against them. If at Christmas they are no more than 5 points ahead of us then no harm done

Theyve surrendered 45 shots in 3 matches and have conceded zilch from a 4.9 xg against

Bit of luck there , rub of the green 101
Got away with that over a 46 game season last year.

They got away with stuff like that all last season. Got into play offs thanks to us beating Wrectum when we didn't need to and probably only won the play offs because 'Tonda' is a cheat. Very lucky club currently no doubt.

Villa will be down there. The pressure will grow exponentially on them. Really are not the team of last year.

They didn’t win any of their first 5 games last season

it appears the 2nd year in a row they have not scored in any of their first 3 matches as well

I think they've had some fortune , undeniably infact
They have, but you don't keep three clean sheets on the bounce by luck alone. They do deserve credit.

Obviously, it's highly unlikely to be sustainable, but then everyone said that about them last year, too. It has to be one of the worst, and luckiest, promotions in history that they got, but fair play, they're making the most of it so far.

Whether Hull get relegated or not, they've had a good start. Obviously it isn't good for us, but at the same time it's fair to recognise they've given it a decent go.
