But surely as part of his recovery, if he is fit enough to be on the bench 22 times after that, he'd get minutes. It's just a weird situation.

In Serie A you are allowed to name 15 substitutes. It’s not the same as here. So he probably wasn’t actually fit just named in case of emergency.

Yeah that’s odd. Still, he would cover both LW and LB and fall within our price range at a decent age.

If he got back to his previous performance levels he'd be a strong addition, but it's a gamble. That said, we've also signed Taiwo who comes with fitness concerns of his own, likewise Pinnock has little game time recently.

It's the sort of business I don't think we'd turn our noses up at.
