Grimes on corners infuriates me. Rudoni's delivery is superb.

JDS deserves some credit. He was my biggest worry but is doing alright.

Who played well really though? Not many. Some are going mad for Yirenkyi and Tchaouna but neither were good enough for long enough in that match.

Grimes and MvE are struggling at this level. Awoniyi obviously has something about him but couldn't find the finish. Simms looks bombed out. No sign of Eccles or Cherif. It all seems a bit disjointed.

I don't expect us to get anything at Man City but we need to see much better and at least land a punch. The performances concern me more than the early results. We look limp.

Watched on a patchy stream so missed parts.

Unless in the bits missed Grimes and Tuna did magic then neither looked much cop.

MVE has a concentration lapse in him. They all do - everyone is human - but his are more frequent than they need to be.

Missed Sims up top. We miss a striker who is on his toes rather than heels. Not saying sims is, just saying we need one.

JDS did well but he will struggle against a EMC type winger. We need cover.

Grimes being last man is daft. MVE needs to sit back at set pieces to cover pace on break.

All 6 except JDS and big Amenda 7. MVE, Grimes and Tuna 5.

BTA isn’t a winger.

Opinions isn’t it? I thought he had a fairly quiet game, although I don’t think that was helped by the fact our only form of attack is pass it out wide to put balls in the box.

Don't think any of the other subs really added much, and don't like Thomas-Asante being on the wing.

I'll openly admit I was one of the people who thought he'd be exploited week in week out in this league but he's stepped up and looked every bit a prem player in these 2 games.

Genuinely think half the people on here can't change their mind about a player regardless how well they do.

Dasilva/Amenda toss up for motm. Rudoni looked significantly off the pace imo, he didn’t have much of a pre season though.

Grimes may have to be sacrificed, don’t want to see BTA anymore - regardless of his position. Not sure of the reasoning behind signing Hamer. If King wants a PL club then he needed to be ruthless and drop the sentiment of giving too many Championship standard players a chance. We’re still too Championship heavy and it will cost a place at this level.

Thought JDS was better but marginally. Neither really had much to do defensively and didn’t create anything offensively. JDS obviously had the guilt-edged header at the end, but to be fair scoring headers is not really his game

Agree with that apart from the Rudoni comment.
Thought he was poor. Hopefully he gets up to speed pretty swiftly.
