Match Thread Coventry City vs Hull City (H) - Match Thread - Sat 29th August (3pm KO) (5 Viewers)

Frank will be analysing the last game very carefully, keeping a watchful eye on how well the lads train and I suspect come up with at least 3 changes to the starting 11. 2-0 home win, Big T on home debut and Tats!

Starting XI depends really on who gets minutes tomorrow etc i.e. how long cna EMC play for.

Fancy us to win and we'll be better and more used to dealing with the style of play Hull use.

Hopefully not leaving the two full backs so exposed and setting the midfield up correctly. Strangely, bringing back in most of the team from last season would enable this!

Its interesting how their manager played 4 at the back in all pre season. And switched it up vs Man United. Took Manure completely by surprise as their wing backs were not being picked up. Game over after 25 mins.

We cant be predictable this season how we line up. Have to take teams by surprise storm at home.

Id match these lot up 5 at the back or 4!, and our better quality should be enough.

Seen Hull fans talking about this like they are suddenly favourites which i cannot take. Best team, absolutely no fucking about with sentimental 'he deserves it' picks, win the fucking game.

Just checked again only to get this ! No broadcast available in the United Kingdom

It won't be as it is a 3pm kick off but if you are looking for internet streams it will be on a foreign challenge somewhere so will be available on the "non official" streaming sites

Have to win. Hull already 3 points clear of us so can’t afford for the gap to widen at this stage. We then have Many City away and they have a poor Villa side at home.

I'd go similar starting 11 as Arsenal I think, but hopefully Mason-Clark or Sakamoto in for Thomas-Asante.

2-1 win

I'd maybe switch from a 4-3-3 to a 4-2-3-1 but not sure who to drop for a more attacking midfielder

They might want to tell the bookies as they make them 3/1 underdogs.

Odd to have a must win so early in the season but with our fixtures, really need to get something on the board.

Expect us to have more of the ball here, so feel Hamer and tats will be useful in finding away through their low block. As such without any additional signings would line up like this.

Feels like a potential sliding doors moment already

Win, first Prem win in 25 years, back on terms with Hull, confidence restored etc etc

Lose or draw and people will lose their heads. Man City away next as a misery compounder.

I’m really confident we’re a better team than Hull, the only way they’ll win is shithousery.

Think they’ll come to stifle us and take a 0-0 TBH

Too many people had this down as a free 3 points over the summer and the same people will get a bit toxic if we do not win on Saturday

It will be a tough game they are a well drilled and awkward side to play against, as we saw twice last season

Agree with the players you've actually entered, but realistically Thomas, JDS, Grimes and EMC... hopefully at least 1 new player is ready to slot straight in but lets see.

I’m manifesting a Doug panic inspired shopping spree. But yeah it’ll probably be the players you list. Maybe Mfuni in for JDS

Mfuni would be a good start, the more i read. Seen Man City fans saying they wish they'd have kept him around for backup... i mean, if Man City fans are saying that he's pretty good right?
