Match Thread Coventry City - Portsmouth FC Match Thread - Tuesday 21st Apr

[Ccfcsj]

I'm still recovering from Friday night - what an atmosphere - so glad I was there.

We win tonight and I think I will be dead on my feet at work tomorrow

[Nick]

If you think fireworks are a bit naff You’re gonna hate tonight, might not need them until Sunday

will be fine if we win.

If we lose to a last minute winner and then fireworks start going off.....

[SkyblueTexan]

You don’t think Eccles could pull off a bicycle kick ?

Not sure he can. I think EMC or even BTA are more capable. Anyway, which ever way the goal to clinch the title comes (even if it comes off someone's knob from 1 yard out), I don't care.

[Skybluedogwood]

The atmosphere when Live and Die starts belting out tonight will be special

[robbiethemole]

Wish I was there but knee replacement has gone very well and I’m watching via fawanews ( allegedly)

[Skybluedogwood]

It's about winning the league so strongest side possibly if that's esse then so be it

I’d give Markelo a go ahead of Esse. He’s shown a bit of promise in the cameo roles he’s had whilst Esse hasn’t shown much for me in the greater opportunities he’s been given.

[Nick]

Still not feeling confident, last 3 performances have been shocking. Pompey last 3 have been good.

[Skybluedogwood]

Special mention to the idiots at Sky putting us on the red button tonight meaning a number of remote fans won’t get a chance to watch us hopefully win the title

Gotta change

[Otis]

I heard that none of the first team have travelled this evening.

Which is a good thing, because we are at home.

[Sky Blue 1987]

Gotta change

It will change tonight, shackles are now off

[Terry_dactyl]

Just arrived. Good luck everyone!

[fernandopartridge]

Would love to win this, so we can play Allen & Bidwell in the final two games.

Probably give Wilson a game as well even though I don't rate him as a player at all

[skyblue_55]

There is no love lost between the managers & as pompey’s manager shows little or no respect towards Frank ( after all , what has their manager ever achieved as a player ? )
I believe our win is nailed on
CTID

I think you're right.
Getting promotion done is a weight lifted

I hope so

[Johhny Blue]

Not thinking bout work much today
Im 54 years old ffs

You’re still a young ‘un

[Johhny Blue]

Can't wait to hear the roar when news of a Hull goal at the King Power Stadium filters through

Let’s all laugh at Leicester

[Johhny Blue]

Iv had the Bobby Thomas song stuck in my head all morning! I Plan on singing this and every other song untill my throat is raw tonight!

PUSB!!

Sent from my SM-A176B using Tapatalk

In honour of his historic goal we should sing it tonight every time he touches the ball

[Tile Hill Phil]

City’s going up and the Leicester’s going down belting around the stadium after the final whistle for 20 minutes.

And the 90 minutes before

[Captain Dart]

On my way through godamn awful traffic on the ring road and the foleshill road.

[Chris1987]

Wish I was there but knee replacement has gone very well and I’m watching via fawanews ( allegedly)

Good luck with the knee. Had mine done 15 months ago and haven't looked back.

4 at the back bosh

[Nick]

Back to wingers!

I want some esse megs as well tonight

[SeaSeeEffCee]

Guess Markelo must be injured. Would have rather seen him than Esse but oh well.

Must be if he’s not in the squad. Says a lot that Yang can’t even get on the bench with the other two right wingers injured!

[Manchester_sky_blue]

Very surprised there aren't more changes but relieved we've returned to 4 at the back.

[mrfr]

What’s the quickest way down on to the pitch from the balcony (without broken ankles) at fulltime? Asking for a friend…

Is Yang even still in Coventry? When’s the last time he was sighted?

[HadjiChippo]

Still not feeling confident, last 3 performances have been shocking. Pompey last 3 have been good.

Wasn’t too impressed with them against Leicester. Leicester could’ve had a pen first half, and VAR probably rules out Pompeys goal.

Hoping they’ll be half on the beach tonight knowing they’re pretty much safe now.

[shmmeee]

He wasn’t about for the celebrations that I saw was he?

[Cov. Kids. Never. Quit]

Let’s all laugh at Leicester

[Skybluekyle]

Has Bidwell ever scored for us?

He scored away at Southampton, same game Wright missed a penalty when he double kicked it after slipping (which would have resulted in a re-take with current laws)

[skybluecb]

Come on city, we need Wrexham to be giving us a guard of honor on Sunday. I have a good feeling about tonight, we are going to win in style
