I can see scenarios where bonus’s would be an issue.

if, for example, in his contract he has £10k goal bonus, 5k assist, 4k win bonus etc.. Then I can see why Rangers would balk at paying these bonus’s for him scoring and performing for another team. They are probably taking a bitter pill on wages for the loan.

if player insists on his contract then who would pay? Certainly we will not agree to very punchy bonuses.
