There are two new squad members and one of those, Colwill will probably get a start. Dunk is older than Maguire with 1 cap, is he expired cheese or mixing things up?

The one I didn't like included was Henderson. Similar to his awful 'justification' of his transfer in the Athletic, I felt Southgate fudged his answers as to why he was selected and seems a bit hypocritical following his (perfectly acceptable) defending of taking a knee/rainbow armband etc.

Watching this Southgate interview, he's just contradicted himself.

Said that Saudi isn't up to the standard of premier League but then goes on about other trade deals the country does with them.

Continued to say he will pick players on performance.

What have trade deals got to do with who players for England. Poor message to send to players by picking Henderson and to some extent, Maguire

I think he’s done a good job as England manager. I just think he should be leaning towards players playing regularly at a decent level otherwise it sends the wrong message

Would you rather he had no idea who he thinks are his best players? This favourites allegation is often aimed at managers but it is nonsense. I want my manager to have favourites if they are the best players. You can disagree with his judgement 9n them for sure.

Are maguire and Henderson the best we've got ? One cant get in a united side that's average anyway and the other has moved to a league that's shite

Yes he is the most successful England manager for over 50 years. Annoyed he has picked Henderson though.

By success you mean won nothing and failed to win tournaments where the routes we had were absolutely piss easy , one was even played on our home pitch

They’re certainly among the best English players for those two positions.

The criticism is getting hysterical considering where England are in terms of results and general standing in world football.

International football has never been so shite and England have a great crop of players at the right time ...

Most heavyweights sides like Holland, Brazil and Germany are dire compared to years gone by ..

Does the same apply to Robins because we lost the play off final on penalties?

We get this nonsense about the Championship was easy last season and we lost to a small town called Luton.
