Poor display overall after first 15-20 mins. Shipley missing his chance saw the game turn.

Disappointing we didn't even seem that bothered about getting into them after going behind.

Most useful part of this gam is it highlights we've got quite a few squad players who need to move on to allow the squad to be upgraded.

Yes we knew that last year. But it really is difficult to move players on when they are under contract. Two quick promotions have left us carrying a few who aren't at this level. Compounded by our limited budget and the owners are not willing to put extra into the budget.

Let's hope we can start clear of injuries because we don't have much depth.

I see it as a holding year to run a few more contracts down if nothing else. If we can repeat last year I will be reasonably happy.

Come on now.

No it pisses me off. It’s a competitive game. It’s not a friendly. If he wants a fitness match arrange a behind closed doors game. And it clearly rubs off on the players as well.

We should try and win every competitive game, we aren’t saving ourselves for the fucking Champions League.

Greatest moment in this clubs history is a cup game. These days we’d have gone out first round to save ourselves for the league and finish 17th.

Some bloke saying we should be asking how much Scott Dann would want wages wise and saying we need a striker as Waghorn isn’t up to it. Fuck me. Time for bed.

Agree with a lot of that
I was surprised we made 10 changes tonight as I thought we wanted to have a bit of a cup run
Got to keep things in perspective as loads of other Championship sides have also gone out to teams from lower divisions

How does it clearly rub off on the players?

He also said he had heard a rumour that Southampton and Watford are looking at O’Hare.

Because by all accounts they can’t be arsed either. Unless you genuinely think our reserves are worse than L2 reserves.
So what if they couldn’t be arsed. You moan about us not putting 100% in this game, yet if we got through and played someone like Blues and O’Hare got injured your be complaining it was in a nothing game.

No I wouldn’t because clearly I don’t see it as a nothing game. Your crystal ball is playing up again.

They aren't obviously but that's football , worse teams sometimes win matches because the team with better players were shite

We shouldn’t have tried to get cute by playing a bunch of kids and half fit reserves. Put the first team out and we win that. It’s second game of the season it’s not like they’re knackered already.

Jones was understandably tentative to take his man on but he was the only one who showed some movement and bravery to get on the ball. I know no one has had a full pre-season and he is young but I was disappointed with Reid.

Clearly. You thought the friendlies were important games as it meant you could write the keeper off.

Swing and a miss again. Sorry I want the club I support to win football matches.
