O’Hare lacks quality in the final third Crowley doesn’t he’s on another level to O’Hare technically comparing the 2
I wouldn’t agree with that I think he’d be better with better players, but yes he needs to improve in front of goal he could have been well ahead as our leading scorer, still think goals will come from him.

You mean the guy who doesn’t get selected for a team below us is better than a player who is a starter every week? I agree Crowley is on another level. Not quite at the level of OHare.

O’Hare wouldn’t get in their side either,Crowley played 41 times last season for them & was rested in the cup against us,O’Hare wasn’t even a starter in league 1,the reason he’s not playing is down to their shite manager who fans want out.

The fact your actually comparing technical ability of Crowley & O’Hare is comical, one left villa at 16 for £1m for arsenal let’s not forget.

O’Hare and Crowley are very different players. Having them both in our team would cause the opposition a lot of headaches.
Agreed both can fit behind a striker,O’Hare is the best here currently Crowley is a better player than the rest of the AM’s put together

Seems to me we could be potentially having 3 in.

The rumours about Jack Clarke and Crowley are getting stronger, and we all know we need a striker.

Can see Camp being binned off now Marosi is nearly back, add to that robins has made it clear he wants to bin off the likes of Kastaneer, Pask and loan out Jobello and Hillsner.

Seems to be there is some money in the pot

Last I heard was the club had made their interest known but it went quiet, where he goes is in the balance, wages I feel might cause us to miss out.

Comical? I have never heard of this world beating footballer that you are bigging up other than he is from Coventry and hasn’t cut it at his clubs. You seem convinced he is a game changer with bags of ability, I will let Robins decide if he is good enough for Coventry City as he is not deemed suitable for his current club.

So how can you doubt he’s on O’Hare’s level if you admit you’ve never seen Crowley play ?

As I said 1 played 41 games at championship level last season & was even rested against us O’Hare couldn’t get a starting place in our side,if O’Hare can find end product he’s the complete attacking midfielder his work off the balk is second to none but you give the ball to eother O’Hare or Crowley in or around the box ? I know who I’m picking

Arsenal paid £1m for him from villa,I’m sure Sheaf & camp have both gave their input on him.

I also haven’t said he’s a world beater but he’s technically far superior to any other AM we have at the club.

He's definitely better than the likes of Shipley & Allen. He definitely improves us and he fits the mould of what we look for. Whether it happens or not it's the right kind of player to look at.

He’s got potential to be sold on for big money if he gets it right here, again which fits the club model.

Biggest concern for me is affordability. He's on a decent wage, although out of contract in the summer so hopefully he'll take a long term view. Would be a cracking signing.

They have an option also in their favour

I note you keep banging on about Crowley's superior end product, yet he has only scored 1 goal in 41 games at this level for Blues.

Crowley clearly has more ability and flair than Shipley and Allen.

We're desperately lacking in that position and if he does have any attitude issues I'd back Robins to get the most out of him
Shipley and Allen really only play because Kelly is injured. We need to concentrate on cover for Kelly.

Since when is everybody a world authority on other Championship teams' reserve players?

I think we might look at a defensive player too. Whether that's a defensive mid (Kelly cover) or a central defender (Rose cover) I'm not sure. I'd lean towards the latter as Sheaf was brought in as Kelly cover, whether people agree he's right or not doesn't really matter.

I generally watch a lot of football on TV. He wasn't a reserve player for them last year, was pretty much an every week starter.

A left footed CB would do a lot of good I think, as others have alluded to. Easier said than done to find one fitting the bill

Perhaps Robins may look to bring in a left sided CB who is also comfortable playing at CDM - or vice versa. That way he kills two birds with one stone. I believe he was looking at this type of player during the summer window if I remember correctly.

I dont ever remember seeing an A/M as energetic as O'hare. He wins so many freekicks, never injured, and has amazing close control and can take the ball on the turn. Crowley from what i've seen and heard is of a similar mould. 1 goals and an 5 assists last season in a poor blues side, 5 goals and 7 assists in the eredivisie the year before (plus 4 assists and 1 goal in 6 apps in the cup). Was originally bombed out on loan by Willem for dicsiplinary issues but came back and did well. From what I can tell, he will also have played in the league at the same time as Hamer (actually outperformed him in goals and assists). Likely at a crossroads in his career and I think his next club will be make or break so a good time to sign him.

History does not suggest this... He is more likely to bin them off... Clarke-Harris, Jonson.

If we do sign him, let's hope he is in keeping with the positive atmosphere of the club since the beginning of last season... from the outside looking in, having positive characters like Dabo has really helped.

In the main positive comments from the Barnsley lot but have to agree 17 at this level is a tough ask, 23 now so hopefully he’s matured a bit looks to be worth a punt if only on loan for the rest of the season. Looks to me he just doesn’t fit into the Birmingham managers plans, that happens look at JCH at Bristol Rovers, obviously not fancied by MR but he does well at Rovers but we get promoted that’s football.
