Your man Jackett has failed to get out of League 1 two seasons on the spin and looking like three

He’s not my man you asked for someone with a better track record and performance and he has. Also he is an impact manager as it robins

so get an impact survive and then see next season what actually happens. This club HAS to survive and what collateral damage occurs then so be it

Struber took over in November and he still had Barnsley rock bottom in March.

Irrelevant and robins career says when he’s on a down curve it stays down

Despite the all above we need new players, at least two imo, and experienced ones, how does that happen if our owner doesn’t or won’t find any money ?

Nonsense you put him forward as a replacement for Robins to keep us up. You blatantly think he should be sacked so just come out and say it!

Why would you want more debt anyway and if we have a torrid next 6 matches we are pretty much done for

The football world would surely agree it’s a good idea to sack Robins. Especially when you account that after 12 games, we’re outside the relegation zone. 8 of our 12 games have been against top half teams all as a newly promoted team too.

If we want a true reflection of where we’re at, December is shaping up to be very important for us. Derby, Sheffield Wednesday, Rotherham and Wycombe are around us.

Frankly, we all expected to be in this position, so I don’t know why people are shocked. The rationale for sacking Robins now would be if we expected to be a mid table, top half team. Anyone who has this as a minimum expectation, is deluded.

For someone who likes playing contrary for getting a reaction out of people G has been a bit shy in just saying what he thinks

Debt ? or is it investment ? As you said earlier losing our championship status will cost us over £3million in tv money alone. Any money we spend could be retrievable in what would be transfer money should we fail and go down. Signing players is always a gamble. What do you think we should do, spell it out.

I always remember Paul Cook as a solid but ininspiring player when he played for us. I assume he is a better manager than he was a player.

He has an excellent record when you look at it

It appears from his posts Grendel is anchoring for a change in manager that’s fair enough and he can come on here and deny it, but then when I suggest our owner give their thumbs up and supply funds to do that he says I’m enchourging debt, but changing managers especially mid-stream can be very costly, paying off those leaving probably higher contracts for the new man and his entourage who often join wanting a budget for a player or two.
Would imo crazy

Im not I’m saying there has to be a plan for survival and free passes for failure and some absurd loyalty is nonsense

Oh and relegation is a lot more costly

I don't dislike Robins and he has done a good job for us to the end of last season. But I do think Robins needs to be more cautious in his approach in the Champ. If he thinks we are going to out football teams in this league we are heading back down to League One and he and Adi V might as well go now. We let Birmingham back into the game last night when we changed formation and but for a fine save by Marosi we would have lost. Why could we not have just settled for a point against and an established championship side? We are just far too open with wing backs and two up front, probably because we lack midfield players with Championship level physicality. Teams will just run through a three man midfield made up of the likes of Allen, O'Hare, Shipley, Kelly, Hamer and Sheaf.

We were lucky to have not conceded much earlier with the different formation. We were hardly running the show before the change and while they definitely took the upperhand after it if we'd spent two weeks working on that starting formation and then switched it undoubtedly there's going to be a bit of confusion and people positioning wrong. I firmly believe that had we trained and started with that latter formation we'd have been more comfortable in it and caused Brum a lot of problems.

We looked a bit more solid but still quite porous and were still making a lot of unforced errors and giving the ball away in dangerous areas. In return we looked like we had almost no threat in attack.

It's a balacing act and that tipped the scales way too much in one direction. If we approach games like that for the rest of the season IMO we're more likely to go through the trapdoor.

I agree we do look susceptible behind with wingbacks, although Dabo seems to play much better in that position that RB. But at the same time we actually look capable of causing problems going forward which we didn't do on Fri.

The reason we can't just settle for a point against established Championship sides is cos many of them ARE established Championship sides, so if we do that, accepting the stronger Champ and ex-Prem sides will likely beat us and looking to win against other recently promoted teams chances are we don't get enough points to stay up. Teams like Brum, Forest, Derby, Wed are all established Championship sides, but we have to be looking to win those games to get anywhere. You're suggesting going into them happy with a point at the end. It wouldn't be enough.

Blimey David has commented on a football thread to feign interest. At least his chum Tony doesn’t even pretend he cares anymore and Ring of Shite can’t even be bothered with his political shite. Always amazed me Ring of Shite. Once claimed to have a picture of himself with Ian Wallace which occurred 3 years before he was born

No factually accurate - Tony I don’t think ever comments on football, O Drivel only when pressed to and Ring of Shite claims to have a photograph with Ian Wallace when according to his profile he was still 3 years away from being produced

I mean more coming up with uninventive takes on usernames and telling others to crawl up rectums every few weeks

Everyone fills them out accurately, of course ;)

Well also according to his own extended age he claimed on here he’d still have only been 1 and yet has a vivid memory of games at that time. To be fair his actual profile picture on other social media outlets does seem to prove he’s a bit of a Joan Collins when it comes to his age

The most inventive thing about him is the lies he tells about his life.

Grenners takes on football are simply to pick on a player and against all evidence tell people he is shit for attention. I wonder if the their is an El Grendel on the Barcelona forum telling everyone Pique has always been shit and is a liability and bragging about their made up career in the at the Nissan factory in Barcelona?

Anyway what is the point in changing the manager when he isn't the problem? We have a tiny budget compared to most teams in this league and robins deserves the chance manager us.
