It’s not time for Robins to go. I’d understand the panic if we were in the bottom 6
Over the last 10 games we are, but no I don't want Robins sacked he has at least turned not just the team but the club to an extent, Shitsu are not getting so much crap levelled at them so they must be happy with Robins, we are competing but at times he really has to stop his sitting back protecting a lead tactics and lets start finishing games off

I thought we were very poor on Saturday. We also didn't really create any clear cut chances, bar the O'Hare catastrophe.

I think MR is still the right man for the job currently, but he needs to start making better subs and adapting to how the game is going.

How long have we been Saying that ? Sick to death of the same shit will not make subs earlier even when other sides have and clearly changed the Games pattern he’s too stubborn it won’t change

But then we win one game and all is forgiven. Then repeat.

Exactly.

I hate the fickle nature of football fans and ours in particular.

We're 7th in the league after 20 odd games and within touching distance of the playoffs, and not far off the autos.

If we were in the exact same position but rather than having had a period of 10 good games and then 10 not so good, but rather they were all mixed in together, would people still be moaning? I doubt it.

Teams go through spells of good form and bad form. Big deal.

Lots of it’s and buts.

Let’s take the facts. We haven’t won away for 11 league games and the home form we were banking on is not play off level either recently.

Surely this is part of football? If a player performs poorly, they get criticised. If a player performs well, they get praised.

And we are actually closer to 12th than the automatics - everyone up to 13th has a game in hand too

Do you see it changing ? I don’t mate I see more of the same stubbornness & strikers going even further backwards in form and confidence, maybe a player like Bright could come in January & lift the team same way he did last season

The ‘things can only get better’ attitude is admirable, but it’s not guaranteed. Reactions aren’t half as bad as what people are making out, I think it’s been quite level headed. We’re talking about a string of poor (not unlucky) results and bad game management. No away win since April is crap. Yes, “only lost 3”, but it’s not exactly far outweighed by games won. Things have to improve vastly to even get us top 6 imo.

Mate just look at form over the last 10 games. I hate this "we are 7th" stuff when we are in free fall because of tactical ineptitude! It stinks of the Mowbray season - "don't worry, we are still 2nd. Still 3rd...still 5th....still only 6 points off playoffs........"

I also think it's bullshit that people are fickle. Nobody forgets it all after 1 win, people still have the same reservations about Robin's inability to change things up in a game (or stubbornness or blindness whichever it is) and his extremely defensive/negative set ups.

People have been saying that since the league two season so how anyone can say it's knee jerk or fickleness (not just aimed at you) is beyond me.

They literally don't though, as we're only out of the top 6 on GD.

Things have to improve on the last 10 or so games, yes absolutely. But the fact we're having that poor run and still right up there is a good thing.

What people are getting at is it’s fortunate that we’re still 7th with our form. There comes a time when other teams immediately below us take advantage and knock us down the table. Can’t keep taking the table for granted. Like I say it’s a bit more than people throwing a paddy over one loss in a long succession of wins. It’s a long annoying run of not awful but bad results that really need to be picked up on if we want to finish top 6.

Yes I agree, it is fortunate, but I think that's a good thing.

Every team is going to go through poor form, hopefully this is our worst run of the season and if we can finish our run of crap form in 7th then great, we can kick on really challenge at the top.

Personally I am not panicking and have full faith in Robins. Changing the manager would have zero long term effect IMO, except maybe a short term bounce of form. But long term Robins is the man for me, regardless of these last 10 games.

Here's the 'True' table based on points per game at this point in time, which takes into account that teams have played different amount of games.

If I could have your attention

There are times when the club in a season reaches a cross roads

To me this season that is today. I previously started a thread on the same vein with Mowbray and was proved right as the car crash unfolded

In many areas the club has some could players who could make this a successful season.

We criminally lack any forwards who top 6 teams would want or we get the goals to dry up. Biamou, Bakayoko and Hiwula are duds. Godden finds the Robins way and stops scoring. Clarke Harris and Chaplin escape the Robins way and start scoring

Only team to have no away wins, pitiful goals difference and embarrassing number of goals scored - a team in the drop zone with 5 wins versus our 7

It is still possible to turn the season around. A different style and crucially new forwards. The rest of the team is competitive and capable

Like Ipswich we are slumping.

What do we do? Stick or twist?

The taxi is warming up and needs to be heading to Birmingham unless a change of approach and personnel is adopted soon

I wish I didn’t feel the need to respond To pathetic posts like this.....lmfao taxi warming up for Robins, the man has performed miracles in the last 2 years!

At a cross roads my arse, I suppose you were saying this this time 2 years ago after Morecambe away performance when were 7th before McNulty hit his straps and Jones got season ending injury...Or after the Boxing Day defeat at Port Vale.

It’s funny how everyone seems to ignore the two extremely tough away fa cup ties in the last 10 games, where we have arguably played our best football. It’s just a fucking anomaly why we haven’t won away( call it unlucky or naive) not good stat, but that will change. I will respond you to you again after we give Wycombe away a drubbing you numpty.

I for one have seen many significant improvements this season, top 6 is there for the taking, I haven’t seen a team better than this one in the league that Mark Robbins has assembled and got the best out of.

Godden will come good no doubt about that, just like McNulty did, Biamou has been a revelation imo since his half time comeback vs fleetwood. 7 goals in 7 games?

Anyway I for one have plenty of faith in this squad and Robins. We will give someone a spanking a spanking soon, I have no doubt about that. But there will be ups and downs. Lol certainly not going to hit any panic buttons.

Could even make a charge for 2nd place. But Top 6 is there for the taking and nothing I saw at Shrewsbury or any of the other 23 games I been to this season changes that.

let’s have a charity wager as I think we will fall short of top 6

£50 say?

we need to beat Lincoln desperately as we dont play on boxing day which could mean we are 12th if we dont win

I have seen ‘we’ll give someone a spanking’ since the opening day. For all the nice possession, we don’t score a lot of goals nor do we get the ball into dangerous areas much. We are 21st for shots inside the six yard box.

I already have 2 bets circa approx £100 that we will be get promoted. I haven’t got one to say we just finish top 6 though.

If we win, draw or lose to Lincoln this week I will show my faith again by showing you at the Wycombe game a £50 bet receipt maybe even a ton bet for us to finish top 6.

This about showing faith. So after the Lincoln game win lose or draw I will put another £50 on us to finish top 6 no problem at all.

And no I don’t want to bet you personally.

That’s carried over from last season tbh. “Someone’s due a thumping”. Even putting 5 past Sunderland we only won by one. Have any of our wins been comprehensive or convincing? Bar L2 Colchester.

Oh dear what. You think just because you mention a bet I’m obliged to bet you...erm no thanks.

we are 11/4 to finish top 6. Why would I bet you? When I will put my money where my mouth is in the bookies.

Just let me know when you want to see my bet in the coming weeks for top 6.

How sad

I don’t need to prove my confidence in a top 6 finish to you or discuss my charitable giving with you on this platform.lol what a negative c**t.

The truth is with our possession, style of play and chances we SHOULD have given someone a spanking by now, so the question becomes why HAVEN'T we?

That can be down to two things. Firstly, the inability of strikers to finish guilt edged opportunities and why we have consistently brought in so many like this and/or failed to get the most out of them.

Secondly is that when we do hit the net we stop doing what was putting us in control of games and start defending the lead rather than trying to give someone a spanking by keeping the pressure on.

Both of these issues MR has a massive influence on.
