But that’s not what you said. I’m just pointing out that saying kids learn through punishment is a lot different to setting boundaries.

Did you not read the first sentence of the post you quoted? You enforce boundaries by punishment.

In this case the boundary is don’t slag off the club and it’s fans on social media. The punishment is losing two weeks wages and having to look for another club.

A boundary without punishment to enforce it is a suggestion.

And again, even withdrawing a happy attitude is a punishment. Stop trying to make out the only form of punishment is corporal.

Haven’t read that much about all this but being transfer listed is more or less being sacked don’t know how much contract time he has left but he faces an uphill battle, transfer listed, got to try and force himself into the first team 18, then impress.

He never had a future at the club after what he said. Anyone who shows disrespect to the club and its fans as well as acting like a complete twat deserves what he got.
Good riddance

Don’t be thick. I was referring to this one, below, as if you didn’t know.

And what the actual fuck are you on about? Corporal punishment? In what way have I inferred that? I’ve merely suggested you mixed up your words and you’re jumping to all kinds of conclusions.

Bin him. Yes he’s a kid but the way kids learn lessons is through punishment. Football is desperate for players, being a rapist doesn’t stop you succeeding these days so I wouldn’t worry about him not playing if he’s good enough, but we need to take a stand or this shit will creep through the squad b

Think the Club could put some of his fine into the Helping Others fund - a great way to bond with us.

Hope he turns his life around but not here.

No need to re-open this one. But the reaction to a young lad making stupid drunk comments on holiday surrounded by his mates seems way over the top to me. We've all made mistakes - well I have and I'm very happy that social media wasn't around at the time to record my various lapses of judgment. Anyone would think he'd committed mass murder wearing a CCFC shirt by the reaction of some on here.

Clearly not good enough.

1) If he was, we wouldn't have let him go regardless of his behaviour.
2) He wouldn't be playing against Lowestoft.

He needs to be called the oracle, his premonition of Bayliss leaving came true. Mysterious white powder....

And if/when they do bang the white stuff down they’re silly enough to slag off their employers on SM, I’m sure they wouldn’t be surprised to find themselves sacked on Monday morning.

£400 quid a week max.....after Tax - insurance - moustache cream, he'll be working in Wethspoons in the evening. Little c**t
Surely 400 a week is too much for Redditch United? I'd have thought 100-200 max.

Yes I know someone who plays for Nuneaton and gets £250 basic

I know there are players getting £150 for playing in the Mid divisions of the MFL. Couldn’t believe it myself when told so I think £400 may be realistic.

Saw him play against Alvechurch yesterday. He didn't stand out at all, and actually had quite a poor game. Strange how there has been no communication about this move though.

So I've got a sweet tooth and partial to a glass of milk....

Me too. Fruit gums and Vimto will be my downfall. Thankfully, my employers don't know about my dirty little habit.

Skip to 2:05, the first half of this is about American football.

I’m not saying Hickman should’ve any more chances football wise, I’d assume that in the eyes of Robins and the coaching staff he’s not good enough, but still watch this.

For context, this is Nick Saban, the best college football coach of all time. He’s a great coach, but there’s a whole other side to coaching college sports. He has always been very much involved in recruiting kids out of high school to play for his college teams and attend the school he coaches for. He works with teenagers/young 20s kids, for a living, some of whom are liable to grow big egos and live recklessly, because they play football in front of huge crowds and become quite popular. In my opinion, this puts him in a good position to speak on issues like this. Enjoy.

Spot on, think those baying for blood must’ve been very well behaved when they were that age and full of beer. That or they’re all hypocrites...
